Cole's World of Mathematics

This channel is my growing collection of College-Level and High School-Level Math Tutorial Videos intended for anyone interested in learning more about mathematics. Topics focus on Calculus, Pre-Calculus, College Algebra, Trigonometry, Probability Theory, Introductory Algebra Topics, Geometry, and Various Topics from Algebra 1 and 2 as well as TI-84 Graphing Calculator Tutorials.

I have an MA in Mathematics Teaching with over 37 years of teaching experience at various levels.

My purpose for the channel is that students will use my videos to help supplement what is being taught in the classroom. My videos are NOT intended to be the only resource students use to learn mathematics.

    Can you use this for integrals too? I've notived the integral of cosecx is -ln(cosec + cot) and it works for a few others

    Your saying the LCD is least, can you help me understand how 3x would be the “least” of the common denominator if x is the lowest value which makes it the lowest value that goes into both

    The denominators are 3x and x. We can factor each denominator as follows: 3x (into 3 • x) and x is already in its simpliest form. From that, The unique factors are 3 and x. To find the least common multiple (LCM) of the denominators (LCD), we take the highest power of each unique factor present in the factorizations. Here, we have: 3 (from 3x) and x (present in both 3x and x). Since the highest power of 3 is 3 and the highest power of x is x, the least common multiple (or LCD) of 3x and x is 3 • x = 3x

    I have a doubt that in 2 conditions, With Replacement and Without Replacement. In what condition Should we Use the formula P(x) = nCx · px (1 − p)n−x and in what condition should we just make use of combination in finding probability?
