The reality is that the rich go there buy a flat obtain residency turn up for the Gran Prix and a few weeks in the summer use their tax free days in their old country of residence and spend the remainder of their time elsewhere. Half the time it is a ghost town full of tourists half of which pretend to be rich and the other half photographing them after traveling in by bus for the day from France and buying lunch in the one supermarket that have seperate ques for Monaco residence, people with gold cards and finally peasants.

You decide to stop your Spanish company and move to Monaco or Dubai , you will still invoice your customers but with your new company and pay the taxes where you live …except that there there is no taxes . Now if while living in Monaco or Dubai you also rent out some properties in Spain you will still pay the taxes on that income to the Spanish taxman . That is why you have a lot of KZreadrs who live in Dubai with zero taxes . Another example, if you are an artist and if you decide to move to Ireland you will not be taxed on the revenue of your art , let’s say you are a painter selling worldwide but also in Ireland then zero taxes , your will be taxed on the revenue that your income might generate (properties etc …) but not from the source of your income which is your art .
