I consider buying an Everdrive X7 for this for this english VPW64, VPW2 Freem and No Mercy Plus/Backlash. Do you happen to know if this VPW64 also works via the ED64 Plus (so the low budget Everdrive)?

I am running this translation on an EverDrive64 X7 by Krikzz. As for the low budget Chinese knockoffs, I don't know, but I would stay way from those and get the better quality option. You would have to ask around and see if the ED64 Plus runs modified roms, etc. I would also double check to see if the X7 can run Freem, but I have played No Mercy Plus on the X7.

@@thelostmotel209 basically, games that use extensive texture modding need an emulator, with the exception of freem, because he has spent years decompiling and developing his own tools to insert textures into the game as if he were a developer of the original games. For the vpw64 translation, it's drag and drop. Keep in mind, because the project wasn't completed and basically abandoned, the game may hang in between fights, especially in tournaments, so save every time in between fights.

I had AEW 1.4 working for awhile but it just decided to black out when I go to full screen. I know the problem is windows 11 but I feel like being bothered. I should stuck with Windows 10 because 11 screws with the emulators every time it updates

I thought VPW64 only used memory cards save, as I recall Word Tour doing, and mine is already pretty full. Are you saying I can just put this in the "save" folder for my everdrive and that it's gonna work? If so,that's awesome. What does the game even save on the memory card then?

VPW 64 doesn't need the memory card. It's basically Revenge with a World Tour skin on top of it, so it stores most data onto the cartridge. The only thing VPW 64 uses a cartridge for that i know of is for saving profile records I believe.

Thanks for the guide. Used it yesterday for 2K23 and it worked perfectly. My only questions is when I export my png files they look a little pixelated. The source png is a very high resolution photo so the issue is occurring when bringing the png down to 1024 x 1024. Any suggestions? I’m using Affinity photo on an iPad.

You may need to change the image resampling mode to bicubic sharper, as you may be using nearest neighbor, which gives hard edges to each pixel. Bicubic sharper is the general mode to reduce images while maintaining detail. You need to look for this in the program. I don't know where it is, but there should be options for it somewhere. Keep in mind, it may also be called something else but i doubt it.

Depends if you're using my gamesave or have him unlocked. Either way, he's an unlockable under the Legends group. Joe Bruiser is the US version of the character. In the Japanese version I believe there are 8 versions of the character, all with different names. Some people call him Mike Tyson, Ali, Joe Louis, etc... If you press Z on Inoki, it brings up an entirely different character, and there are several other characters that have that as an option. Look for the Z button in the UI when scanning characters.

To get renames in my save, you will have to go to the Krikzz link and download from there for emulator or EverDrive64. They are different formats so an emulator save will not work on the EverDrive64 and vice versa.
