My personal worst songs this year were (warning, some unpopular opinions): Australia, Ireland, Netherlands, Albania Edit: I did kinda like Albania’s song, but what ruined it for me was the fact that I could barely understand what she was singing even though she sang in English. To me, it sounded like she was singing with her mouth full of food (it sounds kinda weird, but I hope you get what I mean)

You missed a few which were seriously, seriously bad: Poland 2007 . The Jet Set - "Time to party". Infantile lyrics mated to a bizarre amalgam of knock-off pop and techno cabaret. It never made it to the grand final and was duly forgotten so no wonder nobody remembers it. Offensive on all the senses. And yes, it was a *serious* entry. Poland have also sent quite a few bland songs over the years. Some competently sung but still impossible to remember even if you hear them a dozen times. Portugal 2006. Sofia Vitoria - "Foi Magia". Does anybody remember this one? No? Little wonder. Insufferably bland. Bland as in devoid of anything resembling a melody. Even though it didn't make the finals it also didn't finish dead last for some reason. Ever wondered why it took so long for Portugal to finally win and why they almost never make the grand final? Greece 1988. Afroditi Fryda - "Clown". I just read that the Greek national contest only had three songs in 1988 and when all three artists had performed their juries actually concluded that *none of the songs* were worth sending to the 1988 ESC. After some contemplating they decided that "Clown" was the best (read least bad) of the three. Afroditi Fryda was called up on stage to perform the "winning" song under quite a lot of boo's. In the ESC itself the performance was notoriously amateurish and nobody gave Greece any points - well aside from Turkey who gave them 3 points and France who for some reason gave them 7 points (while also giving Celine Dion just 1 point!)

Even though I didn't get into Eurovision until 2015, I live in the US, so it's not known much over here. I love this edition especially because it was the year I was born. I definitely love the older editions because I love hearing the live orchestra and the different languages being used rather than so much English nowadays.

It's amazing to think that Yugoslavia and later its former constituent lands have sent so many superb songs to Eurovision - and yet this year's very moderate entry is so far (I think) their only winner!

'City Lights' falls out of my top 10 but it is a fantastic song.

1990 was the first Eurovision I watched fully, and I’m glad I started off with it
It was an amazing year after lots of weak ones!
My favorites that year were Slovakia, Romania, Malta, Israel, France, Belgium, Croatia, The Netherlands, Sweden, and The UK.
I still dont understnad how people blame us(israel) for the war(feel free to dibate with me in the comments just keep it not hateful and actually trying to argue over your opinions)

You missed a few which were seriously, seriously bad: Poland 2007 . The Jet Set - "Time to party". Infantile lyrics mated to a bizarre amalgam of knock-off pop and techno cabaret. It never made it to the grand final and was duly forgotten so no wonder nobody remembers it. Offensive on all the senses. And yes, it was a *serious* entry. Poland have also sent quite a few bland songs over the years. Some competently sung but still impossible to remember even if you hear them a dozen times. Portugal 2006. Sofia Vitoria - "Foi Magia". Does anybody remember this one? No? Little wonder. Insufferably bland. Bland as in devoid of anything resembling a melody. Even though it didn't make the finals it also didn't finish dead last for some reason. Ever wondered why it took so long for Portugal to finally win and why they almost never make the grand final? Greece 1988. Afroditi Fryda - "Clown". I just read that the Greek national contest only had three songs in 1988 and when all three artists had performed their juries actually concluded that *none of the songs* were worth sending to the 1988 ESC. After some contemplating they decided that "Clown" was the best (read least bad) of the three. Afroditi Fryda was called up on stage to perform the "winning" song under quite a lot of boo's. In the ESC itself the performance was notoriously amateurish and nobody gave Greece any points - well aside from Turkey who gave them 3 points and France who for some reason gave them 7 points (while also giving Celine Dion just 1 point!)
Even though I didn't get into Eurovision until 2015, I live in the US, so it's not known much over here. I love this edition especially because it was the year I was born. I definitely love the older editions because I love hearing the live orchestra and the different languages being used rather than so much English nowadays.

It's amazing to think that Yugoslavia and later its former constituent lands have sent so many superb songs to Eurovision - and yet this year's very moderate entry is so far (I think) their only winner!
Molitva won in 2007, so Rock Me is not their only winner

My Ai, for me, is the most overrated song of the season!! I just find the song really annoying and don't understand why people like the song so much lol

The peaks of each clip are actually the same, but some songs have like one spike in volume. I'll try to see what I can do about that lol
