Little Farm Land

Little Farm Land

We are a couple who recently traded in our hectic California lifestyle for a simpler way of living on a homestead in Tennessee. With a background in professional photography, we left our city life behind and set out on a new adventure in search of a more meaningful and sustainable way of living.

Our journey has been filled with challenges, but we've found joy in every step of the way. From raising our own livestock and growing our own food to building our own home and living off the land, we've discovered the true beauty of a self-sufficient lifestyle.

Through our KZread channel, we hope to share our experiences, tips, and knowledge with those who are interested in pursuing a similar path. Join us as we navigate the ups and downs of homesteading, and learn how to live a more intentional and fulfilling life.

    Thank you for the video and recipe! I can't have cow's milk, but goat is fine. The store stopped my favorite milk cream so I've decided it's time to make my own.

    Does rain harvesting work if land is completely hard black rock inside ? I want to dig 8 feet deep and 6x6 to leave rain water into that digged area

    I recently hooked up a system for catching rain water. We went with a diverter, which is supposed to help with debris removal, but love your idea. Seems like it will work well. Maybe on my next barrel 😊

    Despite the crime in Nashville and Memphis, and Knoxville, I think Tennessee is one of the best states. 4 seasons, mountains, valleys, farmland, centrally located, and lots of people who homestead. Someday I hope and pray that I'll have 5-20 acres in Tennessee, so I can have some livestock. Thank you for sharing this about the Nubians. They seem like a great choice.

    How does the block stay intact when instead of the roots you only have one seed 🤔

  • @LittleFarmLand
    @LittleFarmLandАй бұрын

    It’s a healthy balance of not letting it get too dry or too wet. If I leave stagnant water in the trays, it will slowly dissolve the blocks and if the blocks get too dry, they can crumble a bit easily, but they also do pretty well if I do, let them get a little dry without them crumbling.

  • @LittleFarmLand
    @LittleFarmLandАй бұрын

    I actually should also add that once the blocks have a decent amount of roots growing through them they hold together a lot better and I don’t have to be so careful watering them

  • @LittleFarmLand
