As you can see in my videos, I like to carve realistic, fantasy, mythology and some inspired stuff.
I hope I will post more carving video in the future and hope my videos are more for entertainment than education:), but if you have any questions about different material carving techniques, feel free to contact me and I'll gladly help you , If you have some suggestion or idea, write it in comment, hope you like my carving video

Great work. I enjoy it. You use small bits that look like dentist diamond bits. Could you please tell me where they can be found ?
Thanks! You can google HSS jewelry burs, The brand I chose is Klein Burs.
@@woodworkingart4557Thanks so much ! I finally choose the Luo Ke diamond burrs that work better for stone carving.
@@Skagowy stone carving must be diamond burs, HSS drill is carved wood, horn and other Mohs hardness of less than 2 materials.Just like in this video
@@woodworkingart4557Thanks so much ! I finally choose Luo Ke diamond burrs that work better for stone carving. I agree that HSS or tungsten carbide burrs fit better for wood carving.
I can't quite make out handpiece you are using. Is it electric or pneumatic. Can you recommend a moderate priced electric
It is electric handpiece,I have three types of carving machines, mainly buffalo, foredom, and mastercarver micro motor.
I have a lot of red oak scrap wood from my Talharpa project. It's the perfect amount and shapes to make a Morin Khuur. Thank you so much for this video. Super helpful 👍
I'm so happy for you! Make full use of these woods, and when you have the mood and time, you can choose to make your favorite instrument! Hope to hear more good news from you!
That's very good work. A labor of love. The time or expense finding a stone, then waiting for stone to tell you what it wants to be. Then researching pictures for anatomy of turtle. maybe drawing it out, then tranfering idea to stone. Many hours carving, then sanding, then polishing, maybe adding a custom base. Then somone hems n haws about a 25$ price. Bums you out. Feels better to keep or give as present. Although, the thought crosses my mind, whats someone going to think when they find this peice years from now. It gives you kind of a legacy, your work lives on. Rock on !
Thank you very much for your understanding! Each piece of handmade work is unique and cannot be copied! I have been trying different materials over the years, to express different styles, I will not sell it for the sake of selling it, more is a kind of accumulation, but also a memorial to my ten years of continuous exploration of sculpture! Only in the hands of those who understand it, it really has life!
I have some stones different colours do you like to buy
See, you can make incedible stone creations without a million dollars in tools. Good work!
Thank you for the compliment, yes, tools are just AIDS, a piece of work needs to be conceived, designed and flexible hands
What were the different rotary bits you used for this project and type of rotary tool itself? You did an amazing job making this turtle, by the way!!
Thank you for your praise! I used a lot of grinding heads to carve this work, which is mainly divided into two categories. One is for cutting large ones, mainly round wafer and trapezoidal grinding heads, and some of them use round grinding heads. The rest is the grinding head used to carve the details, mainly small cones, round slices, needle and ball shapes. I have three types of carving machines, mainly buffalo, foredom, and mastercarver micro motor.
@@woodworkingart4557you are very welcome! And, thank you for taking the time to answer my questions! This helps a lot 😁

Water and electricity with a Dremel? Is this safe?
Just keep the water where the stone cutting action is and don't pour it on the Dremel. Also loop your Dremel cord so it drips and doesn't run water into the outlet lol
The engraving tool I used, Micro motor, is similar to the way a dentist needs to spray water to cool down a patient's teeth. The water does not enter the handle😊
@@jasonmanystringsI was thinking the same thing lol .. even with a cordless rotary tool I would worry about shorting out the motor or something...

Can l get you contact I want to learn this
I have been sculpting for twelve years, and for me, interest is the best teacher! If you have time, please carefully watch all my carving videos, I try to show the steps of the carving process, choose some simple styles, you can start to imitate, and then find the style you are most interested in creating, exploring, and trying! It takes time and passion! Looking forward to your work!😊😊🙏
7:37 what grid size you usually use for finishing until glossy my friend
The number of sand bars grid starts from 80, 120,240,320,600,1000,1500,2000.The last step , pure natural bee wax to polish and varnish to accentuate it
BEAUTIFULLY DONE 👏🏻😻‼️ Love it and your pretty music 👩🏻🏫👵🏻🥰‼️
Thank you for your compliments on this piece of work!😊
@@woodworkingart4557 … You’re welcome 😊!
Absolument adorable ❤

Very helpful and very nice
Thank you!😀
Hermoso trabajo 😍
Exelent 👍
Вообще супер! 😊
Hey man, i little of the sound from the carving machine would be nice, to better relaxation
Thanks for your advice! I always thought those grinding stones were too harsh, so I recorded them on silent.😆😆😆
Do you have blue prints of the walking toys? Are you willing to share? I'm thinking about adding this to my year 8 curriculum. Cheers
Thank you for your interest in my work! I am very sorry that I do not have the blue prints. I made it four years ago by searching ramp walker design on Google based on Internet pictures.😆
Great job~ do you have a video of playing this instrument?
Thank you for your compliment. I just adjusted the pitch after I finished making it. I can’t play.

the build got worse as the video progressed. He clamped what appeared to be balsa wood that he used for the bass bar. Spruce would have been the ideal choice. The back should have been some sort of hardwood and the top made of spruce. Instead, he used a plywood for both back and top. The corner blocks are HUGE. Instead of using a traditional hide glue he used a modern tight bond which is a water based poly-glue. by clamping and unclamping the bass bar the bass bar sides were ruined and compressed. Not that it matters since he used some sort of soft wood. I think the corner blocks are the same softwood used in the bass bar construction. regardless of how well the end product might be, because of how it was made, the instrument will never have its full acoustic potential. The heavy corner blocks, the plywood top and back and the softwood bass bar are the tale of how poorly this build was done. It was crudely assembled and the work is shoddy at best. I'd never buy nor use this instrument for the reasons mentioned here. I did violin and guitar repair for a while. I studied and learned the techniques of the tools, wood and products used in string instruments. I also know that the mongols often used hide glues for a large part of the construction works they did. It was important in making the variety of stringed instruments they invented, developed and created over thousands of years. Not a very good build and I am not impressed.
So Beautiful 😎👌👍🍺🌹❤️🕊

Thank you, my friend. We're all trying to make something great.✌✌🤝
Dziwię się dlaczego masz tak mało subskrybentów. Twoje prace są ładne i dużo masz filmów.
I don't know either! Maybe I am a nobody! LoL, I keep creating unique carvings, I believe that one day people will know me ......

Can you share string adress?
I bought it on Ebay last year, but I can't remember the specific merchant. You can search keywords on Ebay: Morin Khuur strings
How long is the neck from de body to the top bridge? Thanks
22 inches, thank you for your attention😀
@@woodworkingart4557 thanks, i'll try to make this beautiful instrjment, for the strings i'm going to try with fishing line, i hope it works. Last questions, wich are the other dimensions of neck? Like width and thickness. Thanks
@@leandrobellido3616 You're welcome. The thickness and width of this neck gradually transition form wide at both ends to narrow at the middle, The thickness at both ends of the neck is 1.5 inches, and the width is 1.25 inches. The thickness in the middle of the neck is 1.25 inches and width is 1 1/8 inches(about 1.125 inches). I feel that the thinner fishing line can be used as its string.
Keep it up
Thanks!

I love this instrument
sweet job thank you
Did you use fishing line for strings and how thick is it? And how many lines did you use for one string? Great job sir.
Thank you for your compliment, I haven't tried fishing line, I bought the strings from the EBAY, according to my knowledge, there are about 160 bass strings and 120 treble strings, and the string is very thin, similar to hair.
