  There is only one way, anything LINEAR works. LINEAR IT TO THE GARBAGE DUMP, IF IT IS L G. LOOSE AND GAIN LOOSE AND GAIN......LG......modern designed crap. i'll keep my 33 year old washer, and ancient fridge. THEY NEVER fail.....if they do....i CAN REPAIR THEM . LG , GO TO HE**.....

  Many companies have strived to bring new technologies to the marketplace. I this case, LG has committed an outrageous failure on the consumers with this inferior product. I own several LG products, but I would never own an LG refrigerator.

  I was about to buy one of these but decided to do some research after our Samsung dishwasher fiasco. The next video suggestion after this is about a class action lawsuit involving these comoressors. Three to four years seems to be the actual lifespan of these.

  Scroll compressors have come a LONG WAY. I'm guessing they won't switch to rhose because of cost or some other reason.

  Scrolls are way too overpowered and overengineered to common sized household fridge, thus just conventional fridge compressor is good enough and except a starting winding, current relay and bimetallic overload strip, there is nothing fancy needed to run it.

  Had they just put the inverter drive on a traditional style compressor so it could speed up and slow down I think LG would have gotten most of the efficiency improvement and noise reduction the linear compressor provides while also keeping the high reliability of the traditional compressor.

  @hansgruber2509 the video claims the linear compressor is more efficient because it's speed can be controlled up and down, I'm saying they should have just used a traditional style compressor and made that speed up and slow down...this way it would have been more efficient, but also wouldn't break as easily.

  10 year warranty is misleading -- 10y for parts only and 5 years for labor, which is more expensive than parts.

  Yep there is so much that's misleading such as the compressor being 45% more efficient 😂 The difference between the smart vs linear compressor thar LG uses in their same fridge is 348kwh vs 246kwh. The linear compressor costs 20% more and it might be worth the upfront cost if you keep your fridge for 10 years but it's certainly not 45% more efficient

  10 years is a great warranty, 6 years into it so far... If only the warranty would reimburse labor costs, or at least send you the part. I was declined by Frigidaire to provide me a warrantied compressor unless I paid one of their certified repair specialists to install it. We did pay to have it diagnosed by one of them. Frigidaire even tried to sell me some water filters after declining to provide me with a new part. They told me that regular replacements of the water filter would have prevented the compressor failure!! I replied "That would be like saying, changing my cars oil more often would prevent tire wear". She had no response. Then I proceeded to call LG. Their statement was "not our problem, call Frigidaire" I reminded her it had their name on it and I could provide her with serial numbers to confirm, answer was still no. Another support specialist with Frigidaire didn't want to deal with my simple request and transferred me to a different unrelated department. No help with this so far. For those who want to know the main failure in these compressors is Freon leaking past the 3 electrical terminals they have sticking out of the side of the compressor. Sealing around these electrical connections seems to be an issue for a lot of manufactures. I have personally found 3 different compressors lately with this same issue. Seems like a case of typical shitty manufacturing that happens these days. Most companies are engineering products to last for a certain period of time so that repairs are required or you go buy another. Planned Obsolesces. If your still reading this rant of mine think about this. Its 2023 and engineers are smarter than ever with what they can design. How is it that everything is breaking faster than ever. Hope you read this LG.

  Não comprem geladeiras com esse tipo de compressor linear inverter porque não dura 1 ano,a minha durou esse tempo tive que trocar por um normal on off
