Please beware of public schools in America. There is a lot of indoctrination going on as well as unlimited fitna. Try to find an islamic school for them or homeschool them
Many recommend Malaysia to western muslims as a place to make hijra to. I wonder why youd move in the opposite direction

I moved back to the US from working in a Muslim country and my kids are starting public school soon in sha Allah. How do you plan to navigate the christian holidays at school. Example they have christmas programs and festivities, halloween, and things that we as Muslims dont celebrate. Usually these activites are given to all the kids in the class. I will explain to the school and my kids teachers that we are Muslim and dont eat pork or celebrate those holidays but not sure if they would give them activites related to those holidays during class time. In sha Allah they have something separate for them to do

I've never had the issue of racism in Malaysia and in my 50 yrs in the USA, I've been reminded a lot that im black and that I'm Muslim.
