I feel like Ness and Lucas are too similar to just make Ninten a blend of the two. Maybe if you change the properties like make PK Fire angle-able, or give him at least 1 new special move

that has always been my idea for ninten aswell actually. heck on the topic of echos and such, how'd you feel if medusa was a palutena echo reusing some of palutena's custom moves from 4, you gave me the idea when you brought up protoman in your ultimate deluxe video when you gave the idea of protoman using some of megaman's old customs and megaman and palutena were the poster children for customs in 4 so it led me there. also we'd have a villainess on the roster besides dark samus and wendy koopa.

There’s a Ninten Mod that gives him this moveset: N-B: PK Hypnosis S-B: PK Beam U-B: 4th D slip D-B: PK Shield? Final Smash: PK Beam(or just PK Starstorm with a new coat of paint) Aside from the Final Smash, I like the modded moveset.

Pretty interesting idea. though I've reached the point where I'd rather the Mother 1 rep be one of the non PSI party members, Ness and Lucas got it covered and gives more room for a full unique character from the series for once

I'd LOVE to see Ninten in the next Smash as an Echo Fighter, but I'd also be fine if he was an alternate costume like Alph or the Koopalings. Smash already represents Mother characters poorly, and I don't expect them to refine them, so an alt would be better than nothing.

Considering how Mother is a dead franchise with only 3 games, it’d be cool to get Ninten in to have all the Mother protagonists. I don’t think it’s likely since they’d probably just prioritize other characters anyway, but I still think it’d be cool

There's a difference between dead and the situation with Mother. It's not Nintendo make more Mother whenever they feel like but just leave it collecting dust. The guy who's the brains behind the series isn't of the game industry like that, the series is more of a personal project for him and he feels that he's done all he's wanted with it and considers it finished. I get fans wanting more, but without Itoi at the helm, it's not Mother to begin with

But yeah, quite honestly I'm surprised they even pulled from it for ultimate at all, guess it makes sense though, Bayonetta's reveal was weird about it. Iirc they highlighted she won in Europe specifically, which always was odd to me but no one mentions. only to find out years later in Ultimate why that distinction was brought up lol

Yeah I definitely agree. The top Ballot choices have been added as well as it being pretty outdated, since we now have other characters who’ve become highly requested like Crash, Dante, Doomguy, etc. We also have characters who debuted after the ballot like 2B who’ve also become highly requested. And yeah, they probably don’t need a ballot as much when they can just look online, though it would help make it more easy to fully see what people want

ratings are really hit or miss. on one hand, they invite competition to see who has the best roster. they're likely to cause people to be disappointed in themselves or embarrassed about what they have shown and therefore want to create something better that they think fits your tastes. on the other hand, it invites creativity, as those who have lower scores could try and rethink their decisions and come up with better reasoning for picks, better ideas for movesets, and more. i'm fine with them being included, but it's completely understandable if they're not. on another note, are these limited to just fighters, or can they be for stages, assists, and items?

XD Jokes aside, if ratings are included, I think it'd be neat if there could be ratings on multiple aspects, such as "Theming" (picking a unique Theme and sticking with it in the roster), "Echo Inclusion" (picking unique or notable Echo Fighters that make sense), "Moveset Potential" (which could be for people who include moveset changes in their roster, or if they pick x character and we can decide on the moveset potential of that character, such as what unique things they can bring to the Smash table), etc. Just to kind of spice up the "ratings" board so that people can have different combos of scores XD

Super excited! I would say no ratings makes more sense to me. Giving constructive criticism and thoughts on specific character choices I think is sufficient, telling someone their roster is a 1/10 would be a bit of a bummer

Ratings might not be a good idea just because it invites comparison and competition between rosters, even if they’re going for different ideas. I suppose that’s likely to happen regardless, but with number or letter grades, people are probably going to put more focus on that aspect rather than the specific well done elements and points of improvement. I might have the wrong read on this specific audience, but I can easily see it going that way. I don’t personally think it’s necessary.

Rayman is one of my most wanted characters too, but I have to agree with you about the chances. Probably should start campaning for my other most wanted character The Knight from Hollow Knight. Or actually maybe Hornet is better, chances that Silksong and Smash 6 will come out at simmilar dates and being a character with a actual name help.

I haven’t played any of his games besides Legends but that alone made me love the character and him, Flowey, and Waluigi are easily my biggest wants for the next Smash game With how the Creeper and Pig Mii Costumes looked, I wish they at least gave Rayman a Deluxe Mii Costume, I would’ve been pretty content with at least that Also imagine he gets in and has a Captain Lazerhawk Ramon alt
