I dont need recipes. I need to understand how to use. My model has the dial.
When i cook rolled oats my instant ends up saying burn
If you're using enough liquid, you may not be getting a good seal. How old is your gasket? You could cook them pot in pot. www.pressurecookingtoday.com/how-to-use-the-pot-in-pot-method-in-your-pressure-cooker-instant-pot/
Love the idea of using a cake tin
i just got one of these and this video was super useful for learning about all of its useful features :3 thank you for making this.
I recently purchased this exact same air fryer, and while I'm happy with its overall performance for cooking, the basket design is questionable when it comes to the window. After only a few uses, I noticed condensation forming on the inside of the window. I emailed instant about this, and they're sending me a new unit under warranty. I decided to partially disassemble the basket, and the way this thing is sealed does not give me a lot of confidence. After washing the basket in the sink before I disassembled it, the inside of the window was loaded with water drops. Maybe I got a one off manufacturing flaw, but I'm thinking more like this is a design issue. I'll be curious to see if the replacement basket I'm getting has the same type of problem.
I have never had any condensation form inside the window, so hopefully your first one had a manufacturing flaw. Let me know.
You guys are so cute and REAL together! Thank you so much for making this video - I'm trying it tonight as I need to meal prep a lot for a new diet now.
That's so nice - thank you! Good luck with the new diet!
I wonder if someone can help me. I have just bought am Instant Pot Pro and it is great. The problem is that I am struggling to dispose of the liquid remaining in the pot after cooking. I don't want to pour it down the drain because I don't want the excess fat to accumulate in the pipe but, as I use it every day, there is far too much liquid to store in the fridge. Any advice?
Glad you're enjoying your Pro. Most of our recipes use the cooking liquid to create a sauce so we don't often have that problem. But when we do, we save a milk container with a lid and use a funnel to pour it into that to dispose of.
The honest review is good but it looks staged in the background are three pressure cookers displayed like a commercial, if she had so many pressure cooker’s why order a forth one 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
We've been reviewing pressure cookers and developing recipes for the pressure cooker for 12 years, so we have lots and lots of pressure cookers.
This or the instant pot? I need to cook lamb curries using the pressure cooker. Also, how easy is it to cook rice in the Cosori? As easy as cooking rice in a normal rice cooker? Thank you and you are a wonderful presenter 👏🏼
Thanks! If price isn't an issue, I'd pick the Instant Pot because their customer service is responsive, if necessary and parts can be harder to find on other brands. Rice is very easy to cook in any brand of pressure cooker. www.pressurecookingtoday.com/pressure-cooker-white-rice/
@@PressureCookingToday Thanks I appreciate it your quick response. Subscribed 👍🏼
I have a Cuisinart pressure cooker but I want to use it as a slow cooker. It's maybe 8 years old and it doesn't have a slow cooker setting. How can I use it as a slow cooker like for beans which are dried beans like garbanzo beans?
Unfortunately, you can't use it as a slow cooker, but dried beans pressure cook very well. www.pressurecookingtoday.com/instant-pot-chickpeas/
can the lid be washed in the dishwasher as well?
Yes, on the top rack.
@@PressureCookingToday Thank you! I checked the manual but haven't been able to find this info anywhere.
Extremely disappointed you said NOTHING about Sous Vide!!😩
I have a friend who did a great post about using the sous vide function www.paintthekitchenred.com/perfect-instant-pot-chicken-breast-using-sous-vide/
Where did you get your pan. Mine isnt as deep , i wonder if i should cook with less time
We got it on Amazon amzn.to/4d6306T (affiliate link) Don't use less time unless you reduce the amount of filling you put in.
I need the code of this instant pot please
Here's a link to purchase it www.walmart.com/ip/Instant-Pot-RIO-Chef-Series-6-Qt-Pressure-Cooker-and-Multi-Cooker/
I dont know which one is Prettier.... Lets just say Both!!!!! Looking forward to making this Ladies"... Thank you
Have them both and they get plenty of use.
Great! We love having both options too.
Watching the beef stroganoff video I could almost smell it. It looks delicious.
Awwww thanks!!
I notice you didn't show slow cooker or sous vide functions. According to Google many people complained that these don't work? Did you find these functions a problem?
People have been happier with the slow cook function on the newer models like the Pro. The biggest complaint is that it can take several hours in the preheating phase to get to temperature. If you want it to get to temperature faster, you can use the saute function and then switch it to slow cook. My good friend has a great post on using the sous vide function www.paintthekitchenred.com/perfect-instant-pot-chicken-breast-using-sous-vide/
@@PressureCookingToday thank you
So like everyone else I use a Microwave like this. Put something in. Set on BLAST for 1 minute. Remove and stick my finger in to see if it is hot. So for me my Microwave needs 1 Setting... just one. BUT... If I get an instapot will I use any of the other buttons? It seems like what you did here was the equivalent of how I use my microwave... plus the 7 minute cool down. What do the other buttons do? Is there a Rice setting. You know like put in the rice and press the rice button then just forget about it. Or do I have to know how long to cook everything then release the steam at a certain time? Also there are so many models of Instapot. Do they all cook at the same speed. Is the 3 qt just as fast as the 6 qt? I need something small because my counterspace is so small. What say you... you seem to know your stuff. Thx
Yes, it's like the buttons you don't use on a microwave. We write our recipes so they work with any brand or model. If your model has a rice button, you can use it instead, but it generally takes longer to cook. Some models cook at a higher wattage, but for most things you'll cook you won't notice a difference in cook time, so the 3 quart will be just as fast as the 6 quart.
You saved my sanity. No one else explained all of my questions. The video is so calmly delivered, and pleasant to listen to. THANK YOU
Step by step with measurements would of helped and showing the buttons you used. You said cook for 3 minutes but how do I pressure release for the 7 minutes
Hi Mika - we always listed the ingredient measurements in the description with a link to the printable recipe on our site www.pressurecookingtoday.com/chipotles-cilantro-lime-rice-in-the-pressure-cooker/ We have a video on the different pressure releases kzread.info/dash/bejne/mZWa1K-zZJTYoMo.html
Thanks for the great review. I was just wondering why this version only comes in 6qt?? The instant pot duo plus 8 qt is black and it looks different? Why is that. What's the difference other than the color and size?? Thanks again??
Thanks! I haven't found much rhyme or reason why Instant Pot changes features between the models. My favorite model is the Pro and it comes in both 6 and 8 quart. It has a flat bottom and handles that don't get hot and makes the inner pot easier to remove. kzread.info/dash/bejne/enVhxNmDdJqaqaw.html
Thank you for the video. It was very helpful!
How did you make a sling?
We have a post about make a foil sling www.pressurecookingtoday.com/pressure-cooker-tip-using-a-foil-sling/
Where can I have this recipe?
We always put a link to the full printable recipe in the description. www.pressurecookingtoday.com/chicken-pesto-pasta/ Enjoy!
We have a small household and I have an Omni airfryer oven (only because our oven died during COVID) as well as the regular Vortex airfryer which I use at least 4 times a week. There is nothing better, by the way, for reheating leftovers. As intrigued as I am with the new dual model, its just too big for my small kitchen. My Omni/oven is currently in storage for emergency use. I found it confusing to have to remember when to install or remove the big metal tray depending on what cooking method I was using. Also had to have one of the racks replaced because it would fall out if I pulled it out even slightly to remove food. To their credit, Instant replaced it quickly with no hassle. They do stand behind their products.
Thanks for sharing your experience. I use my Vortex at least 4 times a week too.
I like the Cosoru,as we originally had a 6 quaet instant pot. I really like the dot on the lid which makes it easy when getting ready to cook
Thanks for sharing!
Nice presentation!
Thanks For telling us how to choose corn . I never considered checking the silk.
Thank you very much for your help
Peace be with you! Thank you for this product review. From my experiences with Air Fryers, I'm currently using 2 - 8qt Basket Style Air Fryers and formerly owned an Air Fryer Oven, All are not suitable for my needs. The baskets in my 8qt Air Flyers are just approx. 10 inches square. Their max temp is only 400 degrees. I only purchase 2lb bags of French Fries, Chicken Nuggets etc. They're been use for our ministry at church. We have to prepare foods quickly. I've found that an Air Fryer Basket when completely full does not evenly cook its food. Usually, I try to go no more than 2 - layers of food deep. Additionally, some foods require temperatures greater than 400 degrees. There's a product available, Typhur Dome, air flyer which features a wide Tray, as opposed to a Deep Basket, can reach temperature of 450 degrees and offers Self-Cleaning. I have not purchased it because it is pricey however, again for my purchases, the Typhur Dome might be the better option.
I agree an air fryer is not suited to quickly feeding a large crowd.
Can you cook meals in this air fryer?
You can cook meals for two people or in batches for a larger crowd. Anything you can bake in an oven you can cook in an air fryer.
Which one is y’all’s favorite instant pot? I really want to get the rio wide plus but I want to get the one the does the most and idk which one that is 😂
My favorite is still the Pro. I love the flat bottom and the handles. kzread.info/dash/bejne/enVhxNmDdJqaqaw.html It has all the features you'll need.
@@PressureCookingToday thanks so much for answering me!! ❤️
I had to return my first one because the inner lid wouldn’t snap back on. I ended up breaking the black notch from continuing to try. So hopefully the new one will work
Glad you were able to return it. Good luck!
i just bought one of these today, and even though i read the booklet, seeing it in this video made it a lot easier to understand. thank you..ive subscribed to your channel now :-)
Glad it helped - have fun! Thanks for subscribing.
How much water you add for this or any other recipe ?
We use 1/2 cup of chicken broth for this recipe. Typically for a 6-quart pressure cooker, you'll use 1 cup, but chicken releases a lot of liquid as it cooks, so you can use less.
Thank you. There were some helpful tips in here that should help me.
You are a life saver! I was doing it all wrong and I was so discouraged! I am so glad you made this video. You are both angels ❤
That's awesome to hear - glad it was helpful!
My insta pot rio does not turn on
Make sure the electrical outlet is working and that the cord is inserted all the way into the power socket. If it still won't turn on, contact Instant Pot at 1-800-828-7280.
I need step by step instructions
We've got a great getting started step by step guide www.pressurecookingtoday.com/getting-started-with-your-new-electric-pressure-cooker-or-instant-pot/
in need how to use the panel instructions
Here's a link to more info on our website www.pressurecookingtoday.com/instant-pot-rio-review/#HowToButtons
I think it’s unfortunate that Instant Pot has made two almost identical versions of the Rio. I’d be very upset if I purchased the “wrong” version of the Rio, i.e. not the version I thought I was purchasing. Folks already have difficulty deciding which Instant Pot they want to purchase. Why not give those two totally different names? I suppose Walmart had something to do with the decision. Nice job on the review, Jenn.
Im old school I really dont like all these air fryers instant pots etc....but I just got a gift yes, a instant rio pot lol! I was wondering what happens If the pot comes to an end and you decide to release the steam/pressure thingy (not sure whats it called) as soon the pot stops can I do that do I have to put a towel on top of the instant pot? thank you in advance😊
Here's a video on releasing the pressure kzread.info/dash/bejne/mZWa1K-zZJTYoMo.html that you'll find very helpful. Have fun!
@@PressureCookingToday Thank You!!
Yes you can release the pressure immediately and no you don’t need a towel. Just keep your face and hands away from the pot while steam is being released. You say you’re “old school” - give your Instant Pot a chance - I bet you’re going to love it. It’s truly changed the way I cook. I’m not “old school”, but I’m 82 years old!
Ayyy No! I did that And steam came out and some white stuff!! looked like foam!😖what a mess!! what happend what went wrong😟or what was that??it was so scary
@@rebeccarobles1559 when you release the pressure with things that foam, you need to do an Intermittent pressure release www.pressurecookingtoday.com/quick-pressure-release-or-natural-pressure-release/ Just close the valve if anything but steam comes out.
Would be great if you linked what you're reviewing. Can't find that model on amazon? Visually looking for it.
I've added the link. Thanks for the reminder.
Helpful for when your renovating your kitchen! Thanks
Great informative video. Thanks👍🏻I have had a different multicooker as when I purchased mine, Instant Pot were not available in Australia. Would like to know if I can bake in this one. At present toss up between this and the Pro.
I guess yours came with a sticker on the lid? I came to see if it peels off. The one on my 3 quart didn't and I ended up with glue left behind that wouldn't come off. It ended up getting baked on lol. But since yours is gone looks like it came off ok?
I generally do not remove stickers from the Instant Pots because they're difficult to remove, so I assume IP meant for them to stay on.
I just purchased an Instant Pot Pro for the first time. Your vidoe was very helpful to have a general idea about the pot. I find the key pad a bit intimidating. Can you make another video about the key pad and another simple example, . A slower talking pace would be great so not to have to go back an re-listent the video several times to understand all the steps to operate the key pad. Thank you!
The most important thing to remember is to watch which item is flashing and then push in to select once you've adjust it.
@@PressureCookingToday Thank you for the tip! I had previously purchased a Instant Pot but was intimidated by the key pad menu options and gave it to my son. He loves it! I will not give up this time 🙂as it is a great way of cooking and retaining the nutrition of vegetables and meets. Thank you!
