I had spark and now no spark, this could be it. As well starter switch not working but I can jump the solenoid at the starter relay. When I turn the motor I have abnormal fuel going into front cylinder and going out exhaust.

Had the same thing, you could smell the un burnt fuel coming from the pipes and I had straight pipes. Def a no spark issue

Reading this at work… I’ve replaced fuel, plugs, fuses, filters, oil, battery, etc… I’m gonna be so pissed and so relieved if this is my issue. My first motorcycle. Bought a very well taken care of sportster 1200 custom for $500 and am really trying my best to do any work on it myself… will report back.

Got a 01 sporty 883 hugger. Changed coils, spark plugs, spark plug wires, hell even changed the damn starter relay. Imma give this a try

Did it work? I also have an 883 01 hugger, it fell on the right side 3 months ago and all of a sudden it didn‘t fire up anymore, just a few weeks ago. I tested my coil, it said 2.6 ohms and something above 10.000 ohms, so it should be fine. I’m gonna give this a try

What color smoke? Black plugs and black smoke is normally too rich condition "putting too mucb fuel into the ratio. Need to adjust your carb. Blue smoke is oil, congrats you own a Harley, they all burn a little lol

Wouldn’t worry about the switch on the 98, it don’t have a computer. But def check that switch! Take it off, and reattach it while the bike is straight up, not on the kickstand. Also check and see if you have a kickstand switch, I believe those years did, my 01 didn’t

that is computer technology for ya. should have stuck to the old ways. no computer, no fuel injected, carb works the best. only thing you have to warm up the bike before you take off.

To your ignition and coils, grey I think to switch, black or blue to coil. This is why you might be showing a dead coil. I watched all the KZread videos on how to test a coil, and both of mine failed. They both ran just fine after this. If it’s a dual fire like this bike, there is one way to test if coil is bad, unplug a lead, does it arch? Unplug both feeds to coil, get them close together but don’t touch, do they arch? Yes-bad coil, no, something pre ignition

Update on this car,.. these cars are junk, I’ll be honest. The leather is cheap, a lot of piss poor designs, and the 2.0l are not reliable. I bought the 15 hoping they fixed the exploding pistons from 2013... nope same pistons, they just adjusted timing to run hella rich. Hints why your stock engine has black soot on the pipes. If your gonna mod it, rebuild it with forged pistons. And catch cans. And you have a GDI and you don’t have catch cans yet. Your doing it wrong . She’s gone! And I’m staying with v8s from now on.

Also the ATS-V puts out 464 HP BONE STOCK!! LOL. If he wanted serious upgrades he shouldn't of went with a ATS LTG he should've just got the ATS-V and called it a day. BTW He's right about one thing.....lexus are some UGLYYY cars, they're almost as bad as BMW's but hey thats just me. EVERYONE owns a damn BMW, Lexus, Mercedes, Mustang or a hellcat....THESE cars are VERY underrated and are RARE. Lets also not forget about the CT5-V Blackwing which has 668 HP bone stock and the motor is built by hand by 1 person then autographed straight from the factory. THESE are the last of the V8's.....NEXT gen of cars are mostly gonna be EV just like the Cadillac Celestiq which will also be built by hand and will probably do 0-60 in 2 seconds kind like the telsa plaid. 🤯

DONT BUY THIS CAR. The 2.0l are shit, no matter how safe you try to be, you but a zzp stage 1 kit, and have a perfect tune! Your a bad batch of gas away from exploding pistons or rings. I sold this car, I’m frankly happy, Piss poor designs everywhere! Battery in the trunk, that if it’s dead, good fuckin luck buddy getting it to it. GM cut too many corners on this car, yes at first this car is amazing and seems like a well built sports car. But 90k shit a piston and transmission slipping, along with their weak ass rear differential exploding. If you want to keep this car, get the v6, or instead of buying the stage 1 kit, buy forged pistons and rebuild! Should be your first mod. They should have kept the ecotec, but GM quality has gone so far down hill it’s stupid.

I bought the PCM at first, then bought HP tuners later. Buy HP tuners a lot easier and you will get a better tune.

@@serviceproper sorry for being late, yes. Then you will be able to cycle they codes and setting on the little screen on the odometer, using the button on the back of the odometer, this is for 04s up. 03s will do the same, but the no codes.

God.Is.Love your looking to close to 300 wheel, those are all AWD cars, your gonna have a tough time with launch. I’ve roll raced a few, half a car on a new mustang gt, smoked a 3v mustang, (in all fairness it was stock). Type R stock doesn’t stand a chance. I’ve beaten a few WRXs but not STIs. I haven’t seen an EVO in forever. I don’t have the throttle body, I’m looking at that next , if it fixes the dead zone at 5500-6500
