    I almost traded my 2019 XT 1000R with 1,500 miles in for a new XMR a few days ago. Mine is paid for and they didn’t want to give me much as a trade in. I like mine better. If it does not rain too much go around the Port aux Port peninsula (could return next year though provided they fix the Eastern Trail)... P.S. Is it possible to rent one of those ATV's in Port aux Basques to drive back to St-John's... where i would hitch a plane to B.C. ? Thank you...

    We use Sena Bluetooth headsets. I use the SMH-10 model, and some of the other guys use the 30k or 50s. The higher the number the higher the price, sound quality, range etc. If I were buying a new set now I'd probably get the 30. The range is decent and they will disconnect when you get too far away from each other and reconnect automatically when you get closer. They should last all day depending on how much you talk. I usually get at least 10 hours. You can charge them when driving if you need to. Hope that helps, Patrick.

    What are the characteristics of front diff going out

  • @EastCoastATV
    @EastCoastATVАй бұрын

    @Joseph-s3k it will probably start with the front diff leaking. If you notice the leaking early and change the seals in time, you will probably save the diff. When it's totally shot, it won't work in 4x4 mode. If you are stopped and stuck in mud and try to get out in 4x4 mode and hear grinding, then stop trying to get out. Get pulled out or use a winch. If you keep grinding the diff, you can damage it.

Not all Polaris ATVs are equal. The old 800 model based on the platform of the 500 was known for having a ton of problems. Awesome video. One thing I’ve learned is have a way to patch your tires when traveling on the old railway bed. Some places have rail spikes laying around. Thanks, Jil, for the nice comments. You are right about the camaraderie. It truly makes a big difference. I think the total was about 900 for the part and labor, if memory serves correct. The can-am fuel pump was the majority of the cost. No other work was required.
