There’s a horrible job anybody standing on the sand will compact in places where you stand and the pavers will be sticking up for other ones.
Looks about right
Clean your grill, that’s why it’s flared up. Also you don’t need heat turned up full blast, medium high is good enough for burgers.
this is false.
Trump still sounds like this, someone look at Biden in 1988 and him now
What kind of oatmeal are you eating?
Why does this video exist?
why do you not show the sand being tamped first?
One of the best instructional videos out there.
May I ask the pipes should place horizontal or vertical before screening?
You can run the pipes horizontal or vertical, what matter is how the patio pitches. A patio generally pitches away from the house so that's the direction the poles run, but if your pavers are away from the house then you can run your poles and pitch the patio in any direction.
@@Gambrickgreat thank you
Why not just use machine it’s better
for all of those who are listening to this use a wet saw not a grinder.

What a load of garbage
Do pavers with polymeric sand in the joints provide enough impermeability for rainwater to drain off or will water seep into the joints and into the soil below?
Yes, as long as it's installed correctly water will run off instead of draining into the soil below. The patio should also be pitched about 1" per 6-8 feet.
use a wet saw and quit breathing that dust. That is what we Pros use.
Amatuer hour
Geeez that is QUALITY work!!!!!
Wow younger Donald really looks like his son baron
I thought polymeric sand was supposed to be compacted into the joints, but you didn't? Was this a type that didn't require that?
It depends on the size of the joints, if they're wide enough the sand will fall to the bottom so you don't have to compact it, but for some pavers we compact two or three times to make sure sand reaches the bottom. You can tell if sand reaches the bottom by how much you're using per sq. ft. of pavers.
Thank you for the quick reply
The most important part of the driveway/patio is the sub base.
I wonder if "This Old House" would ever consider helping rehabilitate a skyscraper/high rise. Probably have to be a few in Massachusetts that could use it.
Bro there's hot and cool zones for a reason. No doubt those burned with those flare ups. No need to have your grill at full blast like that. Come on be safe now.
Amen nba amen
Yeah, that’s crazy using a wheelbarrow and a hoe, that’s my last resort, my trustee Harbor freight mixer get the job done a whole lot faster
The best way to remove paint like that and get it down to Bare wood is using a propane torch. Just heat up the paint until it gets soft and then you’re putting knife will peal it off easily and you have nothing bare Wood
That is some nice work
Excellent information!
Pool finishing trowel*
get some kneepads!
Steel trowel FYI
What you’re using is called a concrete finishing trowel. A mason’s trowel has a much smaller, Diamond/triangular shaped blade.
That’s not a Mason’s trowel!! That’s called a finishing concrete trowel
Agreed
Don't do this. All rotten and moist wood must be removed and replaced. Also, this expansion foam absorbs moisture and will accellerate furter rot.
Very good video
Your thoughts on 1/4-10 clean gravel instead of sand?
We like to use it in areas that get lots of water because it's porous and allows water to flow freely through. This helps prevent failure due to water pressure. It also helps prevent heaving when temps reach freezing or below. Depending on where you live it may be a better option than sand.
Beautiful work, clean lines....an absolute pleasure to watch! Thank you.
Everyone knows better about everything is not that hard kid
…the schleem is later repurposed for later batches…
❤
Damn, you just brought back a 40 year old memory of helping my grandfather paint an old house. Thank you my brother
Slightly damp cloth to dust properly before painting. Otherwise, you're more likely to leave particles the paint will climb and leave imperfections in the finish.
I TOTALLY DISAGREE,,,I FINISH TOP COAT WITH PORTLAND CEMENT DRY POWDER!!!! NO SAG LATER ON WHEN SETTLES
Power tools like an angle grinder DO work for this... But, imo, in this case (and others), the superior way to do this is with a rigging axe; one swing cleanly cuts most protruding nails and screws- It takes a bit of practice, but is far, far faster. (A 'slick' also works great... Fast, clean, one stroke. (A slick is just a big two handed chisel, 2-3' long by 2-1/2" or more wide at the shallow angled blade which is socketed into a kinked shaft with a rounded head. It is old-school, but a great tool!
That’s what happens when you don’t get red or yellow if yk you know
Seems like you used huge nails when you could have used large staples😂
Gouged the crap out of that 😂
Rigging axe. Way faster, cuts clean, etc... A timber slick also works way better than a power tool.
Or ya know. Use the right sized nail.
