  With a bit of wiggling I moved the slider to the "unlock" position, but I had to hold it there or it would move back to "lock". That left me with one hand to grip the cover in two places. The hinge was a bit stiff, so I was able to lift first one corner of the cover and then the other.

  The unit is loud, but no bell sound, sounds like, maybe there is something loose in your unit. The blowing of air is strong and powerful, so the air could be making a loose piece rattle.

  On the back of your arrow get a flathead screwdriver heat up the tip of it and put it on the end of your arrow and I'll make a little notch when you cut it with a regular knife or a razor knife that's where you're getting your splitting from melting it makes it harder and it'll work better 10:26

  @@mtandiz Hi sorry for additional comment I was sure your great video will help me with removing this security feature. But in my case after clicking "SanDisk Drive Unlock" application (same way as you in 0:44 ) it do not ask me to provide password, it unlocks the drive without asking me for password. Because I have never set any password. "SanDisk Security" app never asked me to set up the password. I have just bought this new external drive. And when I try to remove password as you do in 2:30 I can't remove it because I have to provide current password first, but I haven't set up any password. I cant format my drive in case of forgotten password because when I unlock my drive it never ask me to provide any password. I thought maybe if I could enter wrong password 5 times I will be able to format the drive but drive never ever ask me for password it just unlocks when I click "SanDisk Drive Unlock" application. Maybe if I could somehow setup the password first ? but I saw on youtube video "SanDisk Security" app should ask me to create the password but it doesn't :c

  @@shoxie95odd, could it be your antivirus or pop up blocker causing the issue. Very interesting / weird. I don’t have any other further advice, I did not have the same issues you have, maybe try to do it on another computer? Please keep me up to date on your issues, I am interested in knowing if you eventually get it working , thank you for sharing, if I think of anything else, I will update my post.

  I would keep trying, maybe do a physical reset, does the device have a physical reset button? I no longer have that network, so i don’t remember if it had a physical reset button. This applies to most network devices that i have had or worked on, I would unplug the device, hold the physical reset button down, then plug in, while still holding button down, for at least 30 sec or more, then try to add it again. I hope this works.
