Sounds like the 2013 ML350 we have without air suspension or ultrasonic sensors should avoid most of these problems.
Идеальный цвет для этой машины! Это машина моей мечты.
I have a leak that looks like it’s coming from the gasket? Audi stated that they rarely leak water through this area. Audi wanted me to leave the vehicle with them, to see where the water leak was coming from? However, I think this is a ploy for them to make more money? I have a short video and a photograph of where the water is coming through, only during, super hard rain. It’s dry rotted right in the area it’s leaking from. However, they are trying to get me to reseal the entire top, instead of resealing the whole one side. Do you have any thoughts on this? I would really appreciate it? Thank you.
Watched this 5 times since posting. The wax is just insane and looks wet.
Sweet video ❤ are these cars rare or what I can’t find one for sale
Is it just me or that front bumper is way brighter than other parts
so useful video! I am thinking to get one of them (not the 2.5), refurbished. If everything mechanically is checked/replaced, would that be as reliable as a new vehicle like a modern car? Or they do still require more attention than any modern car? thx
Moobs
Excellent review! I think the most reliable one would be the gas 6 cyl without the air suspension, and rear-wheel drive. Unfortunately I think the 2014-15 has the silly gear shift selector. My understanding is this is the same platform as the Jeep Grand Cherokee and it was subject to a major recall on the gearshift selector
220 in Canada…
My ML350 rattles on start up and was leaking coolant, mechanic shop quoted 9k in repairs since they wanted to replace the whole timing chain and replace cracked coolant hoses going to the heater core. I’m glad to say they tried to scam me. My VVT failed and my check valves need to be replaced (I inspected the timing guides and tensioners with a bore scope and they looks good). About to coolant my little coolant pipe that connects both heads cracked. Shop wanted to pull the whole engine to check coolant leak
That little plate on the front was stolen from my ML along with the mercedes logo on the grill. So how do I prove my car was not towed?
Why the ugly grille? 😭
Awesome video, I plan to guy one of these and this video was super helpful and informative
When I was living in Abu Dhabi, a buddy there owned a 2015 D90. It was gorgeous! And it drove exactly like my 1986 Jeep CJ7 lol
My dream car right now
“Generalistic” things? Are you trying to say general things?
Great review
Insane how cheap these cars are these days
I was shocked too 😳 😂
Phenomenal video - there's a lot of points that were brought up in this video that aren't in many other 997 inspection videos.
How does the trailing arm\panhard bar geometry handle the changing height?
Timing chain guides rattle. Cylinder cooking on 6. Did they fix the oil cooler leak on Bluetec diesel?
This is very useful and very well presented. I hope the channel gains some traction. I hear three years is the magic number. One thought I have is if you were to indicate in the title that this is by a European automotive shop, people might be quicker to click on the video. Anyway, I wish you guys well. Thanks for the video.
Are the first few years of the GLE basically the same car? Should they be considered to be less likely to have the problems listed here?
I think they are same. Just small facelift with headlights and tails, also multimedia screen.
Any tips and advice in purchasing a 250ml 2015 with 56k miles on the clock? I'm looking into getting it. Please let me know what I should be looking for as an extra of what you mentioned in the video. Thanks
I like the VW T4, T5 especially their 2.5 TDI engines (in the T5 it is a pump-injector engine). I repaired a lot of them in EUROPE.
I love these it’s a baby Countach the spoiler is like a little brother wearing his big brothers shirt 😂
Nice work....thanks!
And the UK has powerfold side mirrors. Not just Canada
cool video and the bloke was good and informative about the landy
Just picked up a little gem of a 2015 ML350 with 87k miles on the clock. My goal is to get it to 200k. Going to baby this great SUV. Thank you for the walk through! Now to find that transmission dipstick!
This didn't work for my 2005 E320 W211
There's a transmission dip stick on the W166? I have a W164 and I don't have one.
He pulled the engine oil dipstick 😂. This car has no transmission dipstick.
No they don't, he messed up there
Fantastic and super helpful!
FOX SUS?
You are like 15 years late for this video
Is it available 🧐
Or, you can get the GLI Autobahn. Which is smarter.
Got two 211cdis and the best cars I have ever had
Which engine
This car is black and white…the outside is beautiful but the interior styling is dated and atrocious!!
where'd you get those hubcaps? I've been looking all over for some like that.
Should have mentioned the steering swivel balls.... Your drivers side doesn't look great
We have 2005 E320 CDI. Bought it new, never saw the inside of a mercedes dealer. Do my own work. Car has 175,000 miles. Went through a water pump, transmission oil changes, serpentine belt and regular oil changes. Basically still brand new.
What year BMW X 5 e70 to buy would you recommend in the gas 6 cyl cars ?
2010 n52 engine 3.0
I have the stock air suspension controls now I just need the compressor and and air suspension to go with it
A very informative overview.
Thanks so much for this post! I am considering a 997.1, manual CS. Would love a GT3 but that will have to come down the road!!!
Why always ml350. I need ml400 reviews! Great review though
So as i see it most of the kit is bolton only welding that needs to get done is for the front? Als what kit are you using? Love the video!
This is the kit that we used. Fit nicely but it requires custom steering knuckles to be fitted. d2bdmotorwerks.com/i-23895756-airforce-suspension-volvo-w-air-lift-controls-240s40s60-v60v40v40-cross-country.html
I've seen 678000 miles on cdi
