Beautiful Beats

Beautiful Beats

5 years ago I started making music in my parents basement with no music experience, no money, and no support. I've documented every step I've taken on this channel from buying a house... to getting flown out to New York City by Spotify... Today my life passion is to share my story and help all of you along the way. My crazy next step is to be the biggest music producer on KZread! Come join the ride.

Some good info here,...but if youre a "one man band" performing everything yourself and maybe programming drums,...then mixing it and mastering it yourself dont shoot for one a song a week. Even if you can write great songs that fast and have a band or other people to mix and master your songs, a song a week isnt realistic. Everything elae this guy says is practical...i would say shoot for a song a month whould be more realistic...or every other month. If you release too often you can actually be in competition with yourself. But like he said creating content....promos and going live etc etc in between releases ....(remember this is also while writing and producing new material to release) but using tiktok and IG and FB to make content and ads that drive people to your spotify.... also i would recommend a budget of at least $1000 per release.....and not releasing an entire album at once....but slowly like one song a month....and putting $500 to $1000 into marketing each one. You have to learn about creating ads and using pixels blah blah blah....if youre an artist like me itll make you want rip out your hair LOLOL

I made it producing music and have had a great past 7 years recording my clients, but I know I'm better than the work I've been doing. Recording only hip hop, charging bare minimum. I've gotten comfortable on my own, but I know I need a team. I have SO much to offer, I just don't know what to do. I've begun self sabotaging my business in some half conscious attempt to have my back to the wall to see what I do about it.

A lot of content creators say they're going to explain something and be transparent...and then they're just not. You really lay it out and I appreciate that. Thank you! Make sure you're paying your taxes since this is all public lol! But great channel!

Great video! Regarding Spotify playlisting - There is a reliable way to check and understand whether a playlist gets you real or fake traffic. It's actually much easier than one would expect. The answer to all these question is: SEO Playlisting. Just like on Google, these Playlists on Spotify that show up among the top search results, when somebody types in a keyword in the search bar, are the playlists that naturally gain real traffic. If a playlist doesn't show up among top results, there is almost no way for the playlist to get found easily (unless the playlist is advertised). However, in 9 of 10 cases, advertising is more expensive for the curators, so they rather play bots on the playlist. Long story short, a reliable way to test whether a playlist gains real traffic or not is to look at the ranking position and analyze the search volume of the playlist title. If both the search volume and the ranking position is high, you will notice that the playlists are always: 1. Organically engaged, audiences come from different cities. The audience makes sense to the search volume. For example, Spanish titled keywords pull Spanish-speaking audiences. 2. Have a healthy looking follower growth curve. You can check that with apps like chartmertric, spotontrack.... 3. Streams that eventually be paid out by distributors and pull passive traffic (saves, further playlists adds...) as the audience finds the playlists through the search bar.
