Hi! My name is Danielle. I grow cut flowers in my gardens and sell them at our roadside stand. I’m a garden writer and photographer specializing in bulbs. I have previously worked in vegetable farm management and I’m a Penn State master gardener volunteer. I hope my cut flower garden will provide inspiration, education, comfort, and joy to everyone. I'm in a wet and humid climate. Zone 6b. Last frost approximately April 23. First frost approximately October 25. 100% Organic/No Spray.

did the same mistake with the fences 😢 new subscriber.
Thank you so much! This is so very helpful.
Mine just begin to shrivel. How are yours so fresh after 2 weeks?!
Oh boy you got me with amerillas now tulp s
Do you not break up the roots before planting? I’ve purchased some plants recently that were very root bound and struggled to loosen them before planting-ripping a lot of roots in the process.
Ghost Train is a very dark purple Iris from Schreiners🌸
I have some irises with big rhizomes, bfor I transplant should or can I cut off part of it ? Should I trim off the huge leaves on them too?
If there was one plant you would always plant again and have no regrets, what plant would that be?
You said it's rainy there much of the year, but how do you water all of that during times of no rain?
The cardboard method is very smart for weed compression. Do you have a work shop talk on using your home as a cut garde for selling floral bouquets?
The Ranunculae look amazing, and the Oregano was such a good choice.
Fabulous!!! And the rose lily is absolutely STUNNING! Thank You for sharing.......Continued Blessings.
The lighting in the video is stunning; the colors in your garden just pop! Especially the ranunculus.
I just started following you as a new subscriber. Thank you for the inspirational clips and informative content. I enjoy the combination of flowers you use and am learning about different ones I’ve never thought to try in my own space…
Anyone on the chat
Ms. Do I have to change the water???????
I'm looking into purchasing incrediball white and I'm on the fence on getting an incrediball blush or invicibelle 2. Do you have any incrediball blush in your garden?
I have an ornamental oregano but it's not a Drops of Jupiter. Haven't been able to find that one in my area but the oregano I have is lime green and has been doing great in my garden. It's a great ground cover but no flowers. Hope to find Drops of Jupiter too. Everything looks beautiful in your garden Danielle!
Something is moving under your hydrangea, is that a train track? It keeps going round and round. Is it just me or you guys see it too?
This was so helpful! Thank you ❤
CARDBOARD COMMENT: I live in a somewhat dry environment, zone 2b, in central Alberta, Canada (yes, one of the provinces that was burning most last summer, creating all that smoke that made it out to you). Cardboard that I laid down 5 years ago is still in the garden under the wood mulch in many places. Happy gardening!
My favorite edible ground cover is strawberries! I learned this idea from my mom. It works great for me in a sunny area of my garden.
What a beautiful garden.
That's fabulous! What a great look, it's all beautiful!
Creeping thyme is my fav
Greetings from Ireland, Beautiful garden, Its the bees knees. We plan to put in two big no dig beds and a wildlife pond in the back garden next autumn. We make our own compost and we will split and divide perennials from the front garden and plant them into our compost. We grow annuals from seed and they will be planted in next year when the last frosts have passed.
I recently found a Dracaena next to the garage dump. I've never been good with plants, but now that I am retired and have time I love gardening. The dracena was in bad shape. Leaves brown and torn, old dry dirt. I have fully nursed it back to health. It has new foliage growing out of it. Now I need to know how to care for it. I had no idea it was an inside plant but it was thriving on my porch 🤷 I have since brought her in. Your video was the first one to come up. I know this is an older video, but the plant has not changed. Thank you so much 😊👍
❤❤
Your garden looks so lovely! Thanks for sharing.
If I may - where did you get the Adirondack chairs?
Great video
You are so right about removing all the tape from cardboard used for no dig!!!! I learned the hard way, too 😁, and now I'm a crazed obsessive about getting it all off 😂😅. The oregano looks wonderful 🤩
Great Accurate Advice. In Zones 8-11, like me between Austin and Houston Texas, the single varieties you can plant in the ground as the bulbs are mostly cold hardy (not the leaves or stems), and all varieties despite where they were grown will eventually bloom each spring with proper planting. The double flower stems may break in rain. Pick different varieties, they all seem to have their own bloom cycle, so you have different named varieties blooming throughout early, mid, and late spring. Groups of at least 3 of the same variety look best as they bloom together.
Your garden is so far along already! Love it. Big hello from Denmark.
Your gardens are gorgeous.
Grace is so expressive. She looks like one of those robot dogs. You garden is stunning.
A beautiful addition! I need to find a ground cover to grow around my raised bed garden. It’s always so fun to see what you are doing in your garden! - Julie
I am loving the drops of Jupiter oregano Danielle! The thyme is really beginning to show too in the cracks on the deck. I look forward to seeing the flowers and bracts as the oregano matures.
I love that color and the many uses of that Plant Danielle💚 This year, before I planted my sweet pea starts, I laid down cardboard in the area then covered it with mulch. Usually the weeds grow up with the Sweet Peas and when I pull them out there are tons of weeds.. it worked wonderfully 😁 It’s very dry here in So Cal but we did get more rain this year and I water them when needed. Now it’s time to plant Zinnias in their place💗💛🧡I also planted a Pink Flamingo Celosia seedling there💖 I grew one last year after hearing our speak of it and I just loved it!! So fun. Hugs to you and Grace🤗🌸

What a blessed heritage you share with your grandmother! Even a humble woman would be touched to have such a beautiful dahlia named after her by her granddaughter! Congratulations Danielle! 🥹I am a sensitive person as well! Peace and blessings 🌸🤗😁
