I recommend Koch-Chemie products for detailing. Their cutting and polishing compounds are fantastic. We also use a Hercules rotary polisher and it's super nice. A little pricey but definitely worth it!

I too am looking to do st60 fronts and monoball bushings to control arms (bushings are due for replacement). How did the brake balance feel with doing just front brakes? Did you feel you needed to upgrade the rear as well?

Sorry for the late reply, but balance felt fine when everything was warmed up. You'll need more aggressive pads in the rear too.
