Fishing Relaunched

Fishing Relaunched

Follow my journey as I embrace semi-retirement as a new KZreadr (Fishing Relaunched) creating unique fishing content. My twist is that I took a 40 year pause from fishing and now have the time to relaunch that passion and learn new techniques sometimes stumbling along the way but alway focused on continually improving as an angler.

At this stage in my life, I have the time and live in a location that allows me to the opportunity to fish to my hearts content. So given this, I have relaunched my interest in fishing to new heights and find it incredibly enjoyable in so many ways.

I love a good challenge and this has offered that up in abundance.

As Forrest Gump said, life is like a box of chocolates you never know...
well fishing is like very much like that too. You just never know how your day is going to unfold. And that is what keeps us coming back time and time again.

The profile is similar to the Mepps Cyclops spoon. The colours vary wildly from there. They’re narrower than most and are right up there with my favourite spoons. I did a video on the Mepps spoon vs a swimbait last year.

Try pulling the hooks away from the body of the frog a bit. A lot of times the hooks are too close to the body and it makes it harder to hook those smaller bass.

Reminded me of a couple cheap lures that caught me lots of mackerel lol but the colors of the one I got are horizontal fading between green red and yellow mine is by Red Wolf and its called a "Swedish spoon" but I cannot find it anywhere on the internet until now! I got it in hopes it would be good for trout. Good to see it's doing well for you; has me feeling good about that one now!

That dollar store lure and others shaped like it has been a consistent producer of pike for me. It seems to sift through weedy areas better than other spoons, perfect for a fish that likes to ambush from heavy cover. A silver version of that had done really well for me too.

Why does everyone pass on their Mako 2 pack pre-rigged paddle tail minnows?! They are the best for pike!! They come in so many colours, from glitter blue, glitter chartruce, silver minnow, baby walleye and glitter clear! Plus afterwards you still have a weighted jig head you can use. Same goes for their 5 inch baby pike lure. Its one of my favourites!! Always nice to see more people giving some love to the dollorama lures! Have you found their mythical giant lures yet? 😅
