How do you make the icons biffer when u slide over them??
system settings > desktop and dock > adjust the magnification slider
The thing is I want to do the cross out on my calendar when I complete a task. I remember doing it a few years ago but I started all over on notion recently and don’t remember 🤦♀️
you can also apply this idea to your calendar by switching the database view to calendar. this is a recent feature, and since you mentioned using a different approach a few years ago, you might be looking to filter the entries in your database. if you need more help with this, lmk more details of what you want to achieve!😊
Hello, how did you learn all this about notion? Did you follow any KZread channel? because I also want to improve in notion but I always end up copying what other creators do, but I don't understand how to create things on my own :(
I rely on notion’s documentation as my primary resource. it’s v user-friendly. if you’re looking to dive into advanced notion, I recommend focusing on the following: 1. focus on understanding databases, especially the concepts of relations and rollups. 2. explore the formula documentation and experiment with it (esp the examples on the side) if you are just looking to build a personal system, the date and list functions can be particularly useful! www.notion.so/help/formula-syntax hope this helps & i plan to post more advanced tutorials here too (hopefully soon) so stay tuned hahah🥹
hey!! I'm in the middle of ur tutorial and btw how to you link the name if ur page with the date automaticly?
in the title, type @ and select “date” as “today.” once you set it to repeat, the entry will be created automatically, and the date will be updated to match the date when it is duplicated!
It works fine for the first time and the next one it always turn in black

Hiii, can you do a tutorial about that start and end button in the study session? How you make it? And so that when it starts it takes the duration time until the end?
i am not planning to create a tut specifically on how to create a study session but if you just want a button that logs in time, simply create a db w date property. create a new button that edits date property to "now"!

Sometimes I can get overwhelmed with all the features as a new notions user so your little “must reads” have been a life saver. it’s more of apple feature! if you enable scribble on your apple device, it will transcribe your handwriting on various apps😊
I still have a hard time with the optional step nine with the notion formula huhu, anytime I write "format(Points)", instead of the result below being = 9, it ends up being = 0 😭 hope u can help me with this I really love ur habit tracker and badly want to use it

how do you do the "reschedule" thing?
you can create a button that edits the due date (date prop) of the tasks in db that are due on or before today!
For those who want to make malus points, here's how i did it: basically, you put checkboxes for those too. And then, when writing the formula you just substract toNumber(x). For example: bonus points for doing exercise and studying, malus points for eating junkfood= toNumber(exercise) + toNumber(junkfood) - toNumber(junkfood) 1 + 1 - 1 = 2 points earned! i wanted my malus points to make me loose even more points as sometimes it can help to not pursue bad habits: so basically, i wrote the "- toNumber(junkfood)" multiple times. If I want eating junkfood to substract 3 points, well i wrote it 3 times to get -3. Like my previous example, it would be: 1 + 1 - 1 -1 - 1. On that day, I would've end up at -2 points. For the progress bar, you need to divide by the number of BONUS tasks. In my exaample, I would divide by 2 because I have two bonus tasks and one malus. It is not the most efficient to do it, but I don't know how to code and this is how i figured it out for just this. I would love to know how to make a sort of "Shop" with points so that we can spend those points, and the value under our character will be a substract of (earned - spent). Or add a new tab with special tasks that earn a certain amounts of points like idk.. finishing a final essay is like +5. Bc we can add non-repeatable entries but it's based on our daily tasks. For the time being, I will just use increasing levels like 50 points, then 100 etc etc for rewards because to me that's like the motivational aspect of gamification! I looked at other videos and yours is the best and simplest which to me screams quality bc the best way to do smth is when it is simple. No need to overcomplicate. Thank you very much

1. on the title of the page/entry, type @ and a calendar will pop up. there u can select the date. 2. you can connect two databases via relation!

Thank you so much for the step by step explanation!! But can you explain what does the created time filter do? For example if i set it to this week does the habits only apply to this week only? What happens after that week? And why did you set a condition for points below 101 if the total points for a week can only be 7?
Hi! 1. The created time filter displays habit entries specifically for the current week, which updates dynamically. So, if you set it to 'this week,' you will see the habits that fall within the current week. As the week changes, the filter will automatically update to show entries for the new current week. 2. The entries from previous weeks still remain in the database; the filter simply hides them. Therefore, the points accumulated by the character are based on all the entries in the habit tracker database. + The number 101 is rather arbitrary. You can adjust the threshold depending on how long you want to use the habit tracker. For example, if you plan to use it for a month (30 days) and have 6 daily habits, you could set the threshold with a 30-day interval and change the maximum threshold to 180. Hope this clarifies :)
