Love Jean's comment about filling Diana's shoes! Great to poke fun. You go Scherie...telling abut Jeans 6 millon sellers. Love Lynda giving kudos to all The Supremes fans! All so young and beautiful.

What a wonderful interview. Scherrie, Jean and Lynda are three of the finest singers Motown ever signed. What talent they have. I was lucky enough to see them perform in England the following year and they were absolute dynamite! Long may Scherrie, Lynda and Joyce carry on the legacy! I am sad to see wonderful Susaye depart but it was fantastic to see the trio that would have continued the Supremes' legacy in 1977 finally do it in 2017!

Idk why Mary always acted so surprised that Diana did not want to be friends with her and did not want to talk to her….. like c’mon Mary you wrote a tell all book about her! And then wrote a sequel … I wouldn’t want to be friends with someone who wrote a book telling all my business However, I do have to give Mary props because she really did keep the legacy of the Supremes alive , and always made sure to mention Florence

Mary Wilson deserved what ever she wanted.. She Was The Supremes by that time.. Diana Ross was & is Diana Ross.. Ms. Wilson WAS THE SUPREMES... She knew more about the Supremes business & later her own, than any of the other members including the originals.. She deserved a huge piece of the pie + some creative control & merchandise.. She wasn't stupid or naive anymore & had already been on her own sucessful solo career.. A smart business woman & a GREAT Magical entertainer that did very well for herself & Spread a Lot of Love where ever she performed or appeared.. In that moment in time,, Ms. Wilson & Ms. Ross didn't look good,, but because of who they are, they maintained a lot of CLASS & a better out looks in their own totally different ways.. Later after some time to heal,, they both came out shinning.. And hopefully so did a lot of the Lovers of The Supremes.. But everybody was hurt for a little while.. Long Live THE SUPREMES..

One of the major regrets. I put off seeing the show in CT, and the Boston show was canceled. I was done. Then, the remaining of the tour was canceled. Reviewing Supreme's repertoire, I found these songs to be challenging vocally. I have never heard anyone "cover" Diana Ross and the Supremes with the precision and melody integrity they demonstrated throughout their career. As a singer and a vocal professional throughout my 30-year career with singers, I would assign these songs to sopranos, and I remember the two or three times a singer met the standard. Those national signers who covered either the Supremes or Diana Ross always over-sang the songs or attempted to riff their way through a subtle but challenging composition. Overcooked or undercooked food tastes nasty. Diana Ross and Aretha are the mantles upon which famous Black musicians of a popular black sound represent the elegance, dignity, and soul of a nation and a people. The two of them covered the waterfront. There are others of superb ability. Diana Ross, as of the writing of this note, is alive, healthy, and singing worldwide. They both have international catalogs and few public scandals. They covered all styles of music but were prudent to stay in the lane they had created, molded, and secured. Their personae and vocal imprints are recognized around the world. This concert is one of the vibrant examples of that legacy. lawrence.watson @gmail.com
