OK, great hat, I know you make money doing it, but thanks just the same for what you do for veterans, my niece was up at your place last week or so , said that you guys do a great job !
Loved the video! What an adventure! Greg
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for checking out our channel!
Halibut is my favorite fish.
Agreed! Phenomenal fish!
Good to see you Charlotte ❣️
Thanks for checking out our latest content, we hope to feature the Kilchers again in August. Subscribe to catch all our content with them.
Was anyone else waiting for a jump scare? 😭
I have to remember that for next time!😂
That’s a cool bird 🦜 ❤
We love our Steller’s Jay. They like to eat right out of our hands, really cool birds.
Never knew any jays were that blue and black...sooooo pretty!
Steller’s Jays, found all along the west coast from the Pacific NW through Alaska. Really smart birds!
Cute
Really cool birds. We have them pop into various videos we post, they are always around and always hungry!
He is behind sir wanting to come back in 😂💙 so cute.
He loves the feeder in the window, if I leave the window open though he comes right in to feed!
Thats your friend...come on
He gets a ton of food and has his own house in the window, he is living a pretty good life.😂
That bird feeder window looks great. Can you show it being used?
Sure thing, I will post some video of it in use down the road. Thanks for the suggestion!
Just let him chill man!
He has chilled in the house in the past, tends to go to the food bin and help himself a bit too much though.
I’d have a new friend.
They are super friendly, we have 8-9 visit us routinely.
What is the deal with that viewing window behind him? That is so neat
I am not home now, but when I get back I will do a short on how it works.
All I do is just tell him he's not stellar and he gets offended and leaves on his own.
He might, but I would guess he would be back within a couple hours ready to eat again.
He's Back!
For sure, we have 8-9 that call the area around us home.
Beautiful, lovely home too.
Thanks, we have spent a fair amount of time building it. Water access only, off the grid.
💙💙💙
Thanks for watching!
Never seen a Jay like that it beautiful ❤
They are pretty awesome, found all along the west coast of North America.
GOD BLESS YOU FOR HELPING THAT LITTLE GUY ❤
He and 7-8 buddies love hanging out at our place, happy to host them!
Could be a relative visiting from heaven ❤❤❤😮
My sister believes this wholeheartedly.
My mother believes it is my grandmother!
Beautiful home! Beautiful bird. Very blessed. 🙏🏽
Thanks, we put a lot of hard work into building it over the past few years! Appreciate the compliment.
Those walls are absolutely amazing!!
Thanks for noticing, we spent a fair amount of time coming up with a unique concept!
I’ve a great phot of my daddy in his Kodiak Island home removing a partridge who’d flown inside. Here in rural Southcentral all I’ve had fly in are chickadees and one redpoll. I think the redpoll would go along with your technique.
The partridge was likely a handful! I had one flying around inside the car once, no bueno!
Paying bribery only leads to more extortion. 😂
No doubt, they have me well trained!
HE IS A PET!!! 😂😂😂
That’s what the kids say, I tend to agree.
Hes so pretty! Also the home is gorgeous!
Thanks for the compliment, we will be posting some updated photos to our website soon, check them out. Www.Bearcoveretreat.com
I think he was squatting ....he'll be back 🐦
No doubt he will be back!
HA! He immediately comes to the other window, looking for a different way inside
He knows his way around the place!
careful, once you see alaska no other destination will compare.
So true!
Otto hit it on the nail about visiting Homer or really any of the Northern portion of Alaska. We took my Mother on a trip up in her last years, we knew she wanted to see it before she said goodby. It was the first time I had been to Alaska. Years have passed now and I was so blessed to have shared that so wanted trip with her. The years have now put me up there at 86 and I want so much to come back and just spend time up on a mountain and soak it all in. I just found Otto on KZread and for years I watched his family grow up on the Discovery Channel and was able to vicariously be there through them. Thank you for this interview with him, he's such a sweet heart and has such a love of nature as well as his beautiful family. Thank you again!!
Glad you enjoyed the interview, thanks for sharing your story!
VERY old fish unfortunately they grow really slowly....maybe 50 years old or more.
So true, we are fortunate that we fish from a really remote property off Kodiak Island and this spot gets almost no fishing pressure.
@@DiscoveringtheLastFrontier1 We have a house on Eider St. I can see Mill Bay from the front room and we can't wait to retire on Kodiak.
My dad caught a 220 pound one in homer in 2012
That is a beast! You can find them but typically need to travel a fair distance from town.
Nvm he caught it in the golf of Alaska out in Whittier
Magikarp has been successfully captured 😂
😂
Keep up the great work! Love watching all the episodes! Sp
Glad you like them! We have some excellent footage coming up over the next few months!
hey i know that other guy! hey other cuz
We had a fun time out there! Once we have the cabin complete you will have to make the trip up!
what was the weigh in!
No scale, will have one on the next trip though!
Yelloweye Rockfish. Yummy! 😋
It is super good, I prefer it to halibut!
Loved watching this Charlotte is such a wonderful person so real and so sweet thank you guys for having her on I really enjoyed it
She is as great as you can imagine! We have such a great time hanging out with her and Otto.
China Cod
Have not heard that name for them before? Googled it, sounds like some rock fish are called china cod. Learn something new everyday! Thanks
Great catches guys! Congrats! I bet it was a blast reeling those guys in.
No doubt! These are a blast to catch!
