Hello and welcome to my channel! Grab a pint and drink along with me as I share my passion and expert knowledge of beer. I recently released a new series highlighting the local beer scene in Indianapolis. Every beer has a story to tell. “Beer of the Month” features some of the best, most unusual, historically significant, or just plain weird brews from the greater Indy region. I interview brewers, share fun facts, and sometimes dive into a little history.
Happy Drinking!
Cheers,

Extra Stout Guinness is the Best Beer
Brewdog black heart is cheaper and better competitor. Or in the pub mine is a samual smith's extra stout, i think they have that in the usa too...
Thank you for this interesting and knowledgeable video. It’s perfect as an introduction for my holiday to Dublin this week. I’ll be visiting the storehouse too
Entertainment mumbo jumbo the usual on the totalitarian tube, Idiocracy
Amazing the dearth of records of Porter origins.
horrible stuff, proberbly the worse pint of anything i`ve ever had, i wouldnt wash my feet with the disgusting stuff, may be ok washing my work boots but thats all, the irish have no idea how to make beer of any sort esp beer and not stout or porter
Plain. Its called plain.
Plains porter pal this is Guinness I mean both are nice
Your american? You have no bloody idea what your talking about.
*you're 😂
We always visit the Guinness brewery on our yearly visit to Cork Ireland so we always visit the brewery 🍻🇮🇪
Would prefer a quiet or at least theme appropriate background to this diaper commercial music
Guinness was based on a Welsh porter. The stagecoach from London to Dublin passed through there, where Guinness stopped for the night before travelling on. The Irish boycotted the drink as it was deemed 'Protestant Porter'. But the drink owes its success to the British Empire where the foreign extra style is still enjoyed in the Caribbean. I prefer the Original Guinness myself, rather than the watery exported creamy stuff passed off as Guinness in English pubs.
Cheers!
Great, informational video 👏 subscribed ✅
Guinness is so overrated its not even that good lol now German beer is an art and warsteiner is the nectar of the gods its creamy like Guinness but has actually beer flavor lol
comparing one of the cheapest german pils and one of the worst imo to a guinness lol. paulaner & benediktiner better
warsteiner & veltins taste like more premium heineneken aka piss
I just wanted to say sorry I tried an extra stout last night and it was life changing Guinness is better with carbonation lol
I'll take both. Love em all
Thanks Amy!
I love Luther! 😻 He really liked to come and sit on my lap. Good kitty
Great!
Hi, Amy! where is a new beer??)
I believe that the "nitro" Guinness that I first enjoyed at The White Lion Pub in Ramsey, England in 1971, was the finest example of the brewers art that I had ever experienced. It took about 3 minutes to tapapinta..The glass cost 50P but was slid over the bar with ice crystals distributed throughout the living brownish black serving. I am still very much a fan of the pint , even today.
For a history of guinness you missed out the fact that the company was rapidly anti catholic, this video being interesting in some ways seems actually just like a commercial for a company
Love your historical knowledge, and the way you put it together. You are right up there with other favorites of mine like the Nut Meg Tavern and the old Time Team Episode's, seriously your really good at this keep it up🙂👍.
Drink that damn beer girl
A fresh guiness in Ireland, is like drinking fresh milk
I never met a Guinness l didn't like. I have always said Guinness is like mother's milk to me. The draught is one l could drink all day, the extra stout is indeed just that but also very enjoyable. I don't normally care for IPA beers but Guinness IPA is the exception.
I can tell by your pfp that you have good taste 👌🍻
Great Video. I have no clue how it doesn’t have more likes
Just visited Ireland. The brewery and storehouse was closed my entire visit, so thank you so much for this history lesson.
That's a bummer! ☹️ You're welcome...glad my video could pull through for you!
Hi, i live 1 mile from the storehouse, Are you sure it was closed? i know it was shut during covid maybe thats when you where here?
wow. Just Wow. I am sitting in Canada, hundreds of years later, enjoying a Guiness... all from a 100 pound investment in the 1700's. This story is amazing!!!
☺️🍻
4:50 [Feigns taking a sip]🤦🏼♂️
Criticizing the way I drink? Lol ...that's a new one. Next time I'll take a big gulp...just for you...so you can be happy. 😑
Would you rather she chug the whole glass down then belch? 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
This channel has a lot of potential I'm surprised it doesn't have more views and subs
Hey this video is amazing!
Thank you! 🙂 More to come...
The extra stout and foreign extra stout are my favorite beers by far. I rarely ever venture away from them. Maybe a yuengling once in a while since I dont live far from the yuengling brewery. But I've always been a porter/stout guy. Great history lesson. Well done !
Thank you!
Where at is the Yuengling Brewery? Do they do tours? I'm with you on that, though. I love the Draught. It's my all time favorite. Right behind Guinness, Yuengling is my favorite.
Hi LegoMan, Yuengling is located in Pottsville, Pennsylvania. Yes, they do tours and they're free! Here's a link to more info: www.yuengling.com/americas-oldest-brewery-pottsville-pa/
O’ Hara’s Irish stout is my favourite, White Hag Black pig second. This is on draught bear in mind.
awesome work
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it 🙂
Excellent Video, great content, well delivered.. 👏🏼

To all fans of Guinness, have u not tasted Guinness cold brew? What is wrong w u? If u love Guinness as I do and u love a good coffee, merge the 2. U now have Guinness cold brew coffee. What a fine way to start ur day! Comes in a 4 pack. It is ridiculously good chilled over night in the fridge. So smooth. Any beer, whether, classic, or extreme, low ABV, or high ABV, produced by soaking malt in hot water at one temperature, for an hour, which is the brewing method that home brewers turned craft brewers learned, are low quality beers, with an extremely, short shelf life because the brewing method produces sugar, and chemically imbalanced, unstable, extract. Chemically, and enzymatically, the brewing method cannot produce ale and lager. The brewing method is used in grain distillation, and produces distillers' beer, regardless, of the title on the recipe. In 1960, the Hochkurz brewing method replaced the triple decoction method in the ale and lager brewing industry, which immediately, increased profit margin by cutting out one third of the brewing process. In 2021, home/craft brewers are still using the brewing method that was used during Prohibition by moonshiners, and that is where home brew/craft brew went, and stayed. Although, a home brewer receives a medal, or a ribbon for an ale, or lager entered into a contest, the brewer didn't produce a drop of the beer, if a home brew recipe was followed. To increase profit in the home brew industry, Dave Line, the person responsible for commercialized home brewing, hired a bunch of advertisers that invented CAMRA. The advertisers renamed moonshiners beer, and Prohibition beer, Real Ale, and came up with stories, recipes, and contests to set the hook. When computers became popular, home brewing became a field of dreams for advertisers.
Are you doing anymore videos.
Hi Philip. Yes, I'll be doing more videos soon. Had to take a break to finish up a big project I've been working on 😉
@@amybeers1316 very good now get a move on and get your subs up .
You could teach lessons to all the beer "experts and gurus" on KZread. Very well researched and I learned a few things.
haha thanks! Seems everyone is an internet expert these days. Although I know a lot...there's always more to learn! More history videos to come :)
Where??
Yeah yeah...I must've got my wires crossed lol.
🎃🍺
Have you had any of these?
@@amybeers1316 I'm searching for them in NY!

😆🍻
No your not, I am Mexican and Guinness is my favorite also!
Nope
Non of my Mexican friends like it, so I can always know there will be some in my refrigerator 😂
aww Luther 😺🍺
This was awesome 🍺
Thank you 🍻
I’m so glad I came across your channel. Loving all your videos, especially the history ones! Cheers! 🍺
Thanks for letting me know. More history videos will be coming in the future. 🙂
Thanks...Very enjoyable video!
St James' gate is not at the confluence of the Liffey and river rye. You've confused Leixlip with Dublin city!
Oh gosh...I have no idea how I managed that lol.
Great video, another piece of the vast homebrewing history puzzle, and therefore vitally important to our hobby. Cheers!
Thank you! Cheers 🍻☺️
