    I would definitely wrap it after 3 hours in foil. Add apple juice, brown sugar, and butter before you wrap it for 2 hours. You may want to skip the last hour leaving it unwrapped to keep it as moist as possible.

    what adapter are you using for the fan to screw into the gate valve? it is something thermal works offers?

  • @TheSmokingBeard
    @TheSmokingBeard25 күн бұрын

    Yes. This specific one is the 1.5 inch adapter. It's called a mounting kit. I have a direct link in the description on the video. Use the links to help out my channel. They also offer mounting kits for other types of smokers.

    Do you dilute the chemicals to pour in the tank or full strength?

  • @TheSmokingBeard
    @TheSmokingBeard25 күн бұрын

    If you're asking about the handheld tank attachment yes. I put like 2 ounces of soap and the rest is water. If you're talking about the tank that comes with the pressure washer itself, I'm not sure. Mine has never worked, so I wouldn't know what to tell you.

    using that slow smoker overnight, if you load it with wood chips will they last overnight? Ive used it a few times so far and it seems to burn through the chips really fast. I did like a 3-4 hour smoke on some ribs and had to reload it. whats the trick there?

  • @TheSmokingBeard
    @TheSmokingBeard28 күн бұрын

    If you want the chips to last longer than 30 to 45 minutes, you would have to get the cold smoker attachment. That will allow you to add chips to the hopper and have it smoke for a longer period of time.

  • @Illinination1977
    @Illinination197728 күн бұрын

    @@TheSmokingBeard thats what im talking about the slow smoker attachment, it burned through my chips really fast it seems. I loaded it maybe 3/4 of the way full, after a few hours i had to reload it. is that normal?

  • @TheSmokingBeard
    @TheSmokingBeard28 күн бұрын

    @Illinination1977 sounds a little fast. Mine usually last at about 4 hours.

  • @Illinination1977
    @Illinination197728 күн бұрын

    @@TheSmokingBeard ok, it might be about that then. I had it about 3/4 full and it was maybe about 2 1/2-3 hours i had to load a little more. I was hoping it would be a better solution than using a pellet maze because i have this same electric smoker and depending on what size meat im using I don't often have room to fit the maze in there. do you have any videos you've done in past on tips for overnight long smoking with this type of smoker? other than setting an alarm and waking up to reload it? lol

  • @TheSmokingBeard
    @TheSmokingBeard28 күн бұрын

    I mean for this type of attachment, the best advice I can give you is load it up to the top right before you go to sleep. I do have videos where I use pellets and that extends the Smoking time, but the pellets tend to stick to the sides and will stop smoking since they don't reach the heating element. You could try putting in small chunks of wood instead of chips. I know the top is too small to fit the chunks, but the bottom of the hopper is wider. You can flip the hopper over, remove the small screen and fit the chucks there. I would still top it off with chips even if you are able to fit some chunks through the bottom.

    What’s the lowest temp can this set up can maintain? I’m hoping close to 150?

  • @TheSmokingBeard
    @TheSmokingBeardАй бұрын

    That depends on how much you leave the valve open. The wider you leave it, the hotter it gets. I know that if you completely close the valve, the fire will starve out. I've only used it with the billows system, so I wouldn't know exactly how low it maintains the temp.

  • @TheSmokingBeard

    You don't need to empty the gas, you just need to use premium ethanol free gas. My 3 year old yardforce starts first pull the entire season. Only takes one or two pulls at the beginning of the season even using old gas left over in all winter. Ethanol free is the key.
