Most (including myself) didn't know it shut down. Unless you were on social media (I guess) you had no way of really knowing. When I was accepted into the beta I screamed my lungs out. It did get boring after a while when I kept running into the same bugs over and over again. (That seemingly *NEVER* got fixed) Then they introduced payed items. Including this one Chinese looking Dragon. Pretty sure none of the people that payed for stuff ever got their money back, and the stuff cost a lot too...

I love how this game pretty much became mini capitalism. And we’re watching its inevitable fall and the rarity (wealth) discrepancies. The lack of innovation on the game (I know they can’t update but still) just goes to teach us capitalism is BS. Thanks National Geographic

honestly, if they created an animal jam 2.0 back in 2020 right after flash shit down i think it’d be more popular, i think it’d be more popular with kids since theyd have big shiny updates maybe once every few months and aren’t dealing with lag every 5 seconds, its just that they waited for the game to pretty much die (legit i’ve only seen traders in ajc and barely anyone else) to switch to better engine when they probably wouldn’t be getting any good revenue after so long X_X

Played Feral since the absolute beginning, watched every video teasing it before it was even playable, and found the atmosphere and vibe of the game unmatched to others. It felt like it had so much potential and so many memories and friendships were just waiting to happen. I didn’t play a ton, but it was chill and fun and you could just walk around and enjoy everything in your own time, I loved it. This situation was dealt with such negligence and halfhearted effort that it just makes me sad. They not only scrapped an entire community, but ripped it apart in the process. It’s so disappointing.

I used to be hooked onto AJ when I was like, 13-14 years old. It was actually more calm and the item rarity was still high. When my membership ran out it basically became boring and it sucks. I almost lost my account after the big data leak that happened but I got it back and didn't lose anything. But looking back, I barely play it anymore because now everything is all for member now and non-members are left in the dust. So I just stopped playing all together. It really sucks that non members barely get anything from AJ and the item rarity has really gotten tanked. Also a hot take because I'm thinking about it, headdresses are severely overrated. I didn't see the appeal to them at all when I joined.

Also.. i swear a simple poll in the discord asking "What do you think of blockchain games?" Honestly I think they should’ve apologized for taking away our ability to talk to eachother in the last hour of feral. I remember being there the last couple hours and how at some point we couldn’t use text chat anymore. That’s the worst part about the feral shutdown really, is that we couldn’t even say goodbye to the friends we made. I am proud to say though that I spent the last moments in feral on the Rat Wall

i disagree with 3:54, i know many people that got their acc suspended and permabanned out of nowhere or after advertising their shops too much and other non harmful stuff. some people even got banned without saying anything on the day they got banned. the aj moderation sucks and if somebody who doesn't like you reports you and this report ends in the hands of that one moderator who's having a bad day, you are 100% paying the price for not even having done anything. as for stuff that personally happened to me i got my keyboard restricted for 48hours once from greeting a friend. GREETING A FRIEND. so i 100% believe anyone that tells me they were banned for no reason. (although that wzs in play wild) other than that, video is great!!

I played a lot from 2013-2019 and I only stopped after my entire IP got smacked with a permanent ban across all accounts in summer of 2019 (My main, my alts and my sister’s accounts). I managed to get in contact with support and speak to them myself (This was when you could call them) and they reinstated my main and nothing else, giving me a blue long collar and buddying me on the AJHQ account as an apology. I’m still not entirely sure why they did it but I didn’t play as much after because I realised I could lose all the stuff I worked for at any point in time. A shame, I grew up on this and it was one of my favourites as a child 🙁

I haven’t been apart of the Animal Jam community in so long. I would say around my childhood throughout my teen years was when I was last in the community. Throughout my experience, I would say the players and Animal Jam lack of excitement and security is what drove me away. The trading system is completely broken, how easy it is to get hacked, the amount of grown adults doing illegal things without any form of consequence (banning). There just so many things that brings genuine concern to me when playing this game. It just isn’t all that fun to me gameplay wise and community wise. I hate seeing a childhood game not doing great but I’m really not all that surprised. Great video, by the way! I agree with everything you’ve addressed. I hope to see Animal Jam eventually become popular as it used to be once more.

aj classic became boring when everyone started only caring about trading/selling/buying items. nobody plays mini games anymore, just bots that make it 0 fun to play. ajpw is no different besides the fact that everything looks ugly in that version. i miss when aj didn’t feel like i was playing with robots and disgusting predators.

During the data breech my account got removed from my parent dashboard and aj didn't give my account back for a VERY long time because they told me it was only possible if I gave my password to someone :/ I did get my account back though and I still play!

Wah-wah-wah. People still complaining about a game that was literally abandoned YEARS ago. Yeah, obviously it sucks now, their focus has been on the mobile version ever since they released that. There's a reason people quit the original game when the new one came out - because they knew the old game would be left behind. The original game was already in the process of being neglected even before the mobile game was released, so you've had plenty of warnings signs, and plenty of chances to drop the game. The original game will not be coming back. It's gone. It's time to grow up and move on.

I honestly still think about Feral everyyy day I was in LOVE with the whole game, the development was pretty slow but the music, the designs, everything about that game was so beautiful and mesmerizing. I remember getting into the second group of beta testers and I was SO EXCITED. I was so sad to see it get shut down, real tears😔😔

i cant believe they thought the nft thing would be profitable though. like just look where the other supposedly epic nft games went. this stuff is a scam that goes nowhere/is hated by everyone and they wanted to take down feral instead of just asking for donations and selling merch first? just straight to the nft nonsense? wtf? they could have even let people make their own outfit models for money kinda like how you have to pay in flightrising to make your own skins. none of this had to happen. i would have spent money on the game 100% if it had merch or more good one time payments or if it had a custom user outfit for money system. instead it was some stupid season pass with grinding i didnt care about at all. sorry but this was all their fault. also the fact that they lied about people not getting to keep their items immediately made me squint at them and broke trust. also it didnt help that the game had barely any game in it.

No offense @Kek_AJ ever since the game shutdown permanently I lost all hope trying to regain access to it, I check the videos detailing how to install multiple parts of the mod to make feral playable but it does not feel like the same as the original, sure it cool that this modded revived game gives u all items unlocked but I always loved the adventure while unlocking and earning it legitimately, I just wish Wildworks clark Stacy brings it back, it hit me very hard and paid a lot of money getting my dream outfit, never got the chance to unlock wings, I even recently unlocked the creepy shinigami avatar, now the game shutdown, I don't feel I ever have the courage to go back there again even if its a mod, but at least I got few pictures of my fave kitsune fox creature I always loved.

Just want to inform you that the devs introduced Experience mode last year (if I remember correctly) where you start from scratch and have to unlock everything from stores, chests, etc! They've also added ways to get star frags so animals aren't impossible to get. I don't know if this changes your mind on getting it, but just wanted to let you know!

Just to clear something up for you Kek, you got to keep every item and paid items past beta, I was accepted into wave 2 of the closed beta and I spent money on everything they released in game (my rent was cheap and I was making bank at the time) because I immediately fell in love with the game and wanted to support the project as well

remembering this hitting me hard because i loved the design of the game, it beautiful, it awesome and fun but now all I could do is always go back to their communication discord server just to remember the good old past when it sky rocketed, I still in there discord group but it all closed.

Just want to inform you that the devs introduced Experience mode last year (if I remember correctly) where you start from scratch and have to unlock everything from stores, chests, etc! They've also added ways to get star frags so animals aren't impossible to get. I don't know if this changes your mind on getting it, but just wanted to let you know!

Just to clear something up for you Kek, you got to keep every item and paid items past beta, I was accepted into wave 2 of the closed beta and I spent money on everything they released in game (my rent was cheap and I was making bank at the time) because I immediately fell in love with the game and wanted to support the project as well
