    I love working on old cars. All the computerized garbage of today is for the birds. Too expensive, too time consuming and too frustrating. Give me an old Ford any day.

    You don't necessarily need to remove the bezel around the gauges to remove that cemter trim piece, you can work around it.

    Really struggling to get the wiring right! Where do the yellow wires connect? They only go to the power of the blinkers? Or they go with the ground?

    I just did a 1985 corvette & you don't have to remove the license plate. Just look at where the rubber bumper bolts on between the exhaust pipes. Remove the bolt. Near the pipes look up & see the back of the lights & pull the rubber out just a little & reach the tail light with Ease. I just did the driver side. Both lights on the same side are easy to get to. No bruise or scratch. Your welcome

    I noticed on a shot that your airbox is sitting on top of your air conditioning pipe. Make sure you elevate that off there because it will rub it with through the pipe and cause you a lot of money.

    What happened to the oil cooler? And why run the bike without one? Also, you are missing some parts that go inside the oil filter housing, there is a spring and washer that go over the oil filter by-pass bolt before the filter goes on, it keeps the filter pressed against the block.

    You can still buy new clutch baskets for this model, but they are EXPENSIVE, around 750 USD.

    I have an 81 c3 was the first yr for 2 stage paint. 2nd stage is clear coat. Kinda scratching my head I know your 82 has 2 stage paint and you just sanded through the clear coat. Just my 2 cents. Those c3 were hand painted and they all have blemishes just part of the charm. I wouldn’t be sanding on your paint. You can use a scratch compound on your clear coat but as far as I would go.

    I guess you don’t know how to paint. I did not cut through the clear coat. Very hard to explain to someone that knows very little.

Not trying to be a dick but just kinda seems like a Waste of a tutorial video. I have the same bike exactly and having issues bleeding master cylinder and don’t see anywhere to do it.

    Those chips don't work. You're going to be limited to what you can do with the TPI. It has good bottom end torque, but at 4,800 the power takes a nose dive big time. An LS swap is the best all for the L98 TPI minus the engine it could be done for around $1,500 the at depends on the performance stage that you want. I'm willing to bet stock vs stock a 4.8 liter LS would out perform the L98. We would talk about the 5.3 liter or the 6.0 liter.

    Appreciate the help, just did it on my exact same car (22 EcoBoost MT). I don't think my screen has Navigation, but were you able to get Fordpass set up? I can't get FordPass set up, also the clock auto defaults to another time zone - wonder if there's something to do in Forscan or if I need a GPS antenna.

  • @locorudy626
    @locorudy6268 ай бұрын

    Reading the comments about to do the swap from my understanding the clock time zone is determined by the gps antenna.

  • @bogdanoff99
    @bogdanoff998 ай бұрын

    This is correct, I would just unplug the antenna in the end since the old one (and when I bought a compatible new one) both would make my GPS location off on google maps or Waze. Disconnect the blue connector from the back of the APIM and you’ll be fine. FordPass never ended up working with the new antenna for me anyway, so the new antenna was pointless apart from auto time set.
