    Salt slow down fermentation....its not a poison....but in my case I proved it wrong.

    You just proved to the world that salt does not kill the Yeast when put together for you added. Luke warm water, sugar,Yeast salt to activate. And it became frothy/active, so we were mislead by copy and paste knowledge of baking by people who showed that they were excellent Baker's and knew everything about baking
