This kind of cinematic suspense is freaking frightening thanks to Christoph Waltz's brilliant portrayal of Coronel Hanz Landa. If you are his best friend, better not flirt with his wife. He knows that you guilty but he'll let you swim away first before reeling you back again.

There are so many layers of acting in that laugh. He needs to laugh like he is failing to laugh authentically like a bad actor would do meanwhile showing that he is actually trying to laugh authentically but he is a bad actor.

Quentin Tarantino thought that the part of Hans Landa he wrote was just too complex for any known actor to play, then he met Christoph Waltz. What a phenomenal performances and one of my favourites by an actor. He owned and bossed EVERY single scene he was in in that movie 👏👏 You can cut the tension in this incredible with a knife, he’s toying with them like a cat with a mouse!

When Hans Landa laughs at the “mountain climbing” story’s because he already knows they’re all full of shit. He let them explain themselves but didn’t expect her to concoct a German stereotype 😂

The best thing i liked in the movie about Hans landa is that he expresses niceness or good behaviour towards his victims as he slightly gives them a hint that his "niceness" can disappear too. This characteristic about him makes him more terrifying 😨
