My family is from the South which means there will a lot of recipes made with butter, fat, and gravies. I also love to bake cakes and lots of different desserts. Yes you can use a Bundt pan…… but be sure not to over fill the pan….

Everything you put in your pie filling is traditional among us country folk in S.C. including cloves. Everything in that filling is just right! Alternative for a grownup take it to the next level pie add 2 tablespoons (or 3) of peach schnapps.

Just simply use Sweet potatoes instead of yams, there is a difference, the sweet potato has little to no strings, we're as the yams are stringy.
I never have strings, i use my bullet ti make my seeet potatoe creamy,I've been doing this for years. All these recipes are old, they copy off of other people.

350 for 1 - 1.5 hrs
This is similar to how grandma did it. She didn’t have a blender or such. Just a wisk and potato masher it worked just as good. Nothing wrong with the hands that creates. This just popped into my feed.

No eggs in this particular recipe, sometimes I do use eggs when I want that custard texture, but there are many different ways to make sweet potato pie.

@larryduncan4071 yes just like cheese cake is made with eggs but they sell no-bake cheese cake mixes in the grocery stores that don’t require eggs…… the eggs create a more custardy texture and without eggs it’s a more dense but silky texture, in my sweet potato pie recipe the flour will be your binder and it also adds a more creamy texture… use a mixer if you have one if not, you could also use a blender. I have eaten a cake that I froze for three months and it was still delicious

Hello! I just discovered your channel!! I enjoy the way you cook!!! I live in Texas!! You make your beans very similar to the way my mother would minus the pig tails!! She would've added salt jowls!! I'm disabled, so I can't stand for long periods of time!! I've changed the way I make my pinto beans!! I start my pot liquor with boneless ham hocks, smoked pork jowl bacon and a small piece of salt jowl! My seasonings are garlic and onion powder, black pepper and red pepper flakes. In Texas we have a pinto bean seasoning by Bolner's Fiesta Brand Spices. I add that also! If you are looking for their line of spices, you can find them online!! I put my beans in a Crockpot and pour the pot liquor over them. Then I put it on low when I go to bead and they're ready when I wake up!!! Just a option if you don't want to stand over a hot stove!! Also if you want them sooner than overnight, put the Crockpot on high for 4-5 hours!! 🤔🤨🧐😉🥰✌️❤🙏

Welcome Barbara!!!... I use self-rising flour with All-purpose flour in my pound cakes because I feel like the cake comes out more tender and moister. I also mix my milk with my buttermilk sometimes....it gives it more moisture.....make sure you are using a large bundt pan so that the cake has room to rise.....mix until combined and try not to over mix.....
