I’m 52 and moved here in 2017; this is my home park! Went here yesterday for Go Skateboarding Day. I mostly just carve around but I’m having a blast. Maybe one day I’ll get my Ollie back, LOL. Thanks for the video, great shot around the park!

Fun right at the end of the freeway and fun right (downhill) it’s on the right under the freeway. Used to be a sketchy tagging crews spot. Supermarketsup on. western Fantastic Burger for food is just down the street a min away. 7-11and Target just down the road too for quick supply runs. Bring good vibes. L APD Harbor division is a min down the road too.in case of emergencies I can only think of Little co you f Mary in SP. and and Harbor UCLA up in Torrance on Carson. So skate hard but with safety in mind too as help might not as quick in getting to you as you might hope for. Cool vid!🤙👍

Jeez, not sure exactly. 84/85? I helped drain one summer in the mid 80's, I remember. I have vivid memories of being there in 89, summer when my dad died. I was in a state of shock the whole summer. Everything was surreal then, visiting Buena to work through whatever was in my head. I hung out a lot at Margarittaville, too, drinking endless cups of their bad coffee, waiting for all my friends to get off work. Then the earthquake hit in the fall, and that was another surreal, reality scrambling moment. Pivotal year. More than you ask for, I know, but there you have it. I still can't believe its still there. I visited this winter. Didn't skate, just to looked at. Walked up the side hill, no one there. Kinda just stood there for awhile and took that place in. What a treasure.

I was raised in this park from moment it started until moving out of town in 2004, and I've never been to a better park for the size. The small bowl was the first part of the park built so you can tell it's aged more than other spots, I'm not sure how long, but I'd guess at least a year or two before its completion. The big bowl was next. Then it came in phases after that. Like Travis below, I've got many memories there. Saw some crazy fights, a compound fracture on a lower leg with a foot twisting around like an owl's head, and of course a nice concussion I achieved rolling into the big bowl. I owe a lot to the City of Talent and the West Tallie Crew for providing an incredible formative experience.

I remember the grand opening of this skatepark when the town also had a skate shop. Hella over priced but it had everything and something for everyone. My dad bought me a ribstick there when they first popped out. I remember the grand opening Tony Alva went by and Bella other pro skaters they had a diy street park set up as well , hella homies out that day I won so many raffles including my homie we won banners , pads , shirts , decks etc etc.. I miss it I’m up north we got rad parks but fillmores skate park holds a place in my heart , remember it was just a dirt field and half a park before add ons
