You can ask a thousand bowyers if they have had a disappointment with a bow they made and they all will tell they have if they are honest.

With limited tools, would the bastard filing be enough - you think - to allow someone to cut pesky bamboo glass in ones yard?

Have you ever watched meadowlark adventure gear youtube channel. He makes bamboo bows but professionally and he sells too but he uses bamboo as a belly and back. So the bow supports it self under compression and tension.

Bamboo might not be the best for long term but in a survival situation it’ll work like a charm in a pinch, especially if you make it slatted with another piece running opposite on the other side. It’ll have stronger compression

If you already like drinking coffee black, you probably won’t like Cowboy Coffee. It takes all the acidity out and makes it very smooth, but also makes it boring. If you’re someone that doesn’t like black coffee then you may like it, because it’s less bitter.

What bow would I need to take down a 200 kilo wild boar. Here in Australia, hard to have gun here. I thinking I going need to learn to hunt. I guess the main animals to hunt here would be wild goat wild pig kangaroo and deer. Cheers Graham

I imagine this will be better than any cheap backpack I could carry, in the sense that the sleeping gear and the pan make up a lot of volume and little weight. I'll try it someday, hopefully soon. Thanks for the video. I've already made mine, the strap is as thick as a finger, a very soft rope, and I'm missing those things to better tie the load. It would be nice if you could have shown it with two loads, one for setting up camp (tarp, blanket, pan, axe or machete if you have one), and another smaller one with smaller things, like a poncho, smoking kit, first aid kit and a snack. It's really good that it's adjustable, so you can take it off whenever you want. And the noise of it rattling while you walk is nice. I really regret not having brought a whistle the day before last, whistling to warn of possible snakes dries out your mouth a lot. I saw that Americans use rattles to warn of bears, it's a good idea, especially the kind that if you stick a magnet to it it stops making noise. That's useful and cool.
