Took about 1-1/2 hours to remove the lines 2 days for shipping and 2-1/2 to put back together time consuming but pretty easy using some common sense and a few how to videos.

So about 3 weeks ago I got in touch with Jaguar top repair I spoke with Marvin the gentleman that owns the company and we discuss prices on replacing my 6 hoses and the three cylinders on my 2006 Jaguar convertible and not that I thought his prices were high and at least half of what a dealership would charge but of course me being me I figured what the heck I can do this so I contacted top hydraulics placed an order for hoses and cylinders $1,100 my cost so last Saturday with parts in hands I figured I can do this I worked on it Saturday and was able to install the latch cylinder and then things started getting complicated So on Sunday I sent Marvin a text message asking if he could help me out and finishing the project Marvin informing that he doesn't usually get involved after somebody's already started a project needless to say I talked him into it we set a time and a date and he actually came out earlier then agreed and in a matter of a few hours the job was complete it does pay to know what you're doing if you own one of these convertibles and you need this job done I wouldn't hesitate for a second to call this guy besides being capable of repairing your top he's extremely knowledgeable about the cars and has a lot of contacts the best thing I can say about this experience is the final result it's done I can enjoy the car and don't have to worry about the green shower thanks again Marvin

In regards to your question, that all depends on what's going on with your car. The good news is, I CAN figure out what you need and I travel with a tool bag full of all parts. I have done this repair OVER 300x's! Prices are broken down into 3 categories. (1) Pump to Latch, HOSES ONLY - $1750 (2) Replace ALL 6 Hoses - $2500 (3) Replace ALL HOSES AND HARDWARE - $3500. Hi Marvin, just want to say thank you once again for repairing our 2003 XKR back in August 2017. The roof top still works like a champ! If anyone gets the "green shower" I recommend Marvin. I looked at the KZread do it yourself and I wasn't going to risk making a big problem worse and weeks/months with a disaster in my garage and a car I can't enjoy. He was in and out the same day! I help with the installation if the hoses are purchased from me and I answer the phone 100% of the time! You don't have to email me and spend half a day waiting for a response to get an answer to a 10 second question. Big difference from me and the other guys.

Yes....turn the valve counter clockwise on the pump to release pressure. Then, you use the allen key in the header to unlock the latch. If the top doesnt fold back....find the RAM in the rear of the car and push down to unlock. Then the top should fold back.

@@Chucktay100 no, you do not have to disassemble the header. The Allen key slot is located behind a plastic tab in the header. Removal of the header is not necessary.

Marvin came out to the Detroit area last August to fix our 2003 XKR. He landed that morning and starting working around 10:00 AM and didn't finish until late in the afternoon around 5:30-6:00PM. He replaced all 6 hoses as well as the worn out latch. It is now October and been enjoying the gorgeous fall weather with the top down. I have seen videos on how to do this repair and I wouldn't tackle this job myself. I know I would cause enough to get myself into trouble. I MAY have eventually fixed it over the summer but I wouldn't be able to put everything back together exactly how it was put in the first place. Thank you Marvin!
