@@glennfromel5711 Well I admit I have never analyzed their ROI, but it must be decent, but a problem they have also is they need to be diplomatic picking horses and what they say due to the popularity of these previews and the need to not tick off racing ownerships, trainers, jockey's etc., plus they are made for quick takes on each horse, they are not doing a deep dive on these horses, at least not in the videos themselves, though I would guess they are doing it prior to making the videos. I just enjoy their conciseness, so I do believe they are trying to be concise based on how they believe the race will play out. I also know TimeformUS is a partner of DRF, though different ownership, and I like it they sometimes call out TimeformUS, because though Timeform does provide a great service most of the time, they do occasionally misrepresent the pace because it is based on straight-forward factors and is not based on track bias or the need for horses to change their racing styles based on other horses in the field. Anyway, I just really enjoy these and I thank DRF for making Mike and Dan the go to handicappers for DRF!

Mike and Dan NEED to be nominated and voted in to the National Thoroughbred Hall of Fame! I can't imagine any reason to argue with it, to me they are the #1 reason I have continued to be a Racing enthusiast. I won money in 1998 when I was 32, in the BC. I won a tri for $5,000+, a tri for over $1,500, and a tri for over $600, and a win bet on the Classic tri-coupled entry of 3 Baffert horses I believe, but that was my only tie in. Since then, and I don't recall when, but Dan and Mike have truly made me follow this sport almost as much as I do the NFL or MLB, because they make these races so entertaining and so great to listen to them, and because of them I actively wager on horse racing, when I have many other options, but they are so good I want to bet and follow horse racing - I wish I was rich so I could own horses and my dream would be to not only win a graded stakes race on a DRF Race of the Day, but to have one or both pick my horse to win, but that ship has probably sailed, but you never know! They are the most talented folks in handicapping racing, but they don't take themselves too seriously. I could literally, as I have said, listen to them read and analyze the dictionary! They just have the best cadence and have just enough humor (I wish they did more, I have heard and seen them do so) to be even more entertaining! Thanks Mike and Dan, and thanks DRF!

The Cold Facts- Based on the KD finishing positions. The FL Derby top 3 finishers performed the worse of any of 100 points preps that had multiple entries in the KD. See below: Fierceness - 1st - 15th in KD by 24 1/2L Catalytic - 2nd - 19th in Kd by 40L Grand Mo The First * 3rd - 18th in the KD by 37L It wasn't just Fierceness that performed poorly it was the entire contingent from the FL Derby. What does that reflect about the FL Derby? Fierceness defeated a very modest group, none from this has returned to win a race. To again hitch your wagon to this colt is puzzling. If Fierceness' FL Derby win, with his 110 Beyer and negative 3 1/2 TG Number is placed in proper perspective. The glowing reviews should end. The performance was unreal as the horse's perceived ability which is driven by High Octane.

I'll fade Fierceness & use McPeek's horse underneath. Sadler's horse will need a lifetime best 2 win. Seize The Grey is more proven but Batten Down is trending up 📈 I'd lean towards Seize if the odds r similar. Gonna b a gr8 race 🏇🏾

What a terrible dearth of reasonable size of fields, for top class in the, USA , recently. This is very disappointing.
When this race is assessed in hindsight as a putrid running of a gr1 or a decent renewal I think will be determined by Skelly. Talentwise, he has at times touted himself as the heir in the Asmussen barn of Muriel, Jackie’s Warrior, and Gunite as the barn’s superstar sprinter. But Mike Beer is correct in pointing out the fact he doesn’t have a marquee win to his name because he has been oddly campaigned in ungraded stakes or gr3s and not the elite races of the division. It is now or never time for Skelly. This is a grade 1 in name only and as the apparent speed of the race should dictate things on the lead. If he falters, the race is a toss up between horses that except for the lightly raced runner are minor awards horses at best in major races.
