I retired in October 2021 and moved to France. Now a new chapter has begun and my mission is to show you tons of interesting places all across Europe. That's the plan. So, I'll try to create interesting little videos that show you why you should come visit and what to explore when you do. Our world is rich with cultural content that entices all the senses, not to mention the stomach, right? So, let's start cruising around and see if I can bring you micro-views of places that you have never heard of and ones that you have.

Muy bueno!, muchas gracias
Can this be done using the iPad version of Affinity Photo? Great video.
All very interesting but not all skin colour is pinko-grey
Thank you very much. This is very helpful!
Nice video, thx
More of this!! :)
@drumbang1833 1 second ago "Ice and How It's Made" 🤣😂😆😂🤣😆 This is the best review we have EVER had !!! Thank you Doug for really getting it. You Rock Brother !!! \m/ \m/
I’m humbled by your words. Your previous work with The Flock of Seagulls stands, to this day, as the best snare work on this planet.
The Hackslobs are amazing! Their previous album “The Closet is in Your End” is even better
😆😂🤣😂😆
You are very kind. If you liked HS “The Closet is in Your End”, I think you’d really enjoy John Cocktoastin’s album “The Rectum Trilogies”. Underrated butt really inventive stuff. Charlie Watts played hi-hat on the 2nd track just after he passed away. Killer work.
Yes! And don’t forget Irwin Fletcher on the French horn on “Using the Whole Fist”
Thank you for sharing your images of our Bigouden Light show🙂
You are very welcome. We enjoyed it very much. I’m glad that we stayed throughout your entire show and hope to see you again. Bonne année!!!
These are beautiful! I love the music too!
You are very welcome. On a sad note, the after we arrived, we got a wake up call telling Patty her father passed away. So, our 2 week trip was cut quite short. We hope to go back and really explore.
Magnifique Pont-Aven 😍
Thanks Danica. I’ve been to Pont Aven and enjoy every visit. I hope to continue to make videos of interesting places and hope that people enjoy them.
This was funny to watch! 😆
Thanks. It was fun but challenging to make.
RICHELIEU 1- LA ROCHELLE O RICHELIEU wins!
Lovely share, I do enjoy restaurants that serve fondue, one of my favorite foods especially when it`s cold outside, if not a fondue, I'm always happy with Raclette. Stay safe Doug, and thanks so much for sharing.
Thank you so much !!! I will continue to make videos that I believe people will find interesting.
As a Bordelais that's a great video !
That is very kind of you. Thank you.
Très beau ,vous avez été d'excellents guides ❤
Merci Odile!!
One can find them all over towns across New Hampshire and other areas of New England, at least. Perhaps you left before they arrived?😊
Yes, perhaps. The trusting nature of it is … well, weird for me. Going up in NY, we never saw such things. But, I lived in many places but never saw them. Brittany, France is definitely a book culture. Those kiosks are everywhere. I’ve seen countless book signing events in the last year. IN FACT, come to think of it, I bought my house from an author.
How do I spend my vacation here
Hi, Sorry for the late response. I’m not sure I understand your question.
Get a plane to La Rochelle airport. 😁
Wonderful, beautiful chateau, great video like always, Great works Doug 👍
Great video Doug! the visuals of the castle with the perfectly matched background music is amazing.
Sorry for the VERY late response. I’m still trying to figure out how to use KZread!! I will continue to make videos and hope that you find them interesting or helpful.
Thank you for this video. I am an American who was born in La Rochelle when my father was in the army (1958), but I have not been back yet. The sights here bring back memories of the many stories my parents told me about their time there. I spent the first year of my life being trundled about in a carriage in those streets and am told that I dined on French bread soaked in milk at many of those cafes. Thanks again!
Thank you so much, Deb. Very sorry for the late response. I’m still trying to figure out KZread. A few yrs ago we stayed in La Rochelle one night while passing through from Spain. It intrigued me. I wanted to go back to explore it further. Great great aquarium… and I’ve visited a lot of aquariums.
Can't believe it, I was wondering why he didn't answer. We toured North Thailand and Lao together back in 2018-2019. I'll miss you buddy. God rest your soul.
Yesterday they had a 2 year memorial at his grave in Netanya, Israel. Eli was such a great guy. So smart, funny and creative … and a dear friend.
Great video! La Rochelle is a really nice and unique town.
Thank you for your kind words. You should celebrate the memory by drinking more French wine.
Play with me. Give me some hugs. The dog wants to have your attention.
Doug you have a real talent for this. Not only is the music, photography and video editing great, you speak very clear and concisely. You could go pro with these.
Hey Bob!! That is very kind of you and I’m glad you are enjoying the videos. It is my mission to improve all aspects of these videos. I clearly have much to learn but it is an enriching process, frustrating at times. Best to you, Bob
Great video, Doug. Makes me feel like I'm there.
I really enjoy this video, bravo Doug..
you did capture the cats 😂
I would be loving all over that Springer absolutely my favorite dogs that boy could come and sit by me all day long I would pet him and give him kisses
I think we fostered about 30 dogs. Some stayed with us for several months. I fell in love and got my heart broken so many times. Such wonderful memories and stories.
WHAT no way he passed away how?
He had a bad heart. Heart conditions run in the family.
@@dougdina Wow when did this happen, i am in utter shock and i dont go on social media so i haven't been able to get any updates. Thank you for the reply, I've been crying all morning trying to message people to find out.
When did he pass? I have been trying to get a hold of him for months and this makes sense 😭
@@caitlinw8010 I am sorry for your loss. Eli died close to December 27, 2021. I am very close with his brother. I live in France and texted his brother telling him that I was going to a Christmas dinner with friends. We chatted; it was fun. He texted me about 2 hrs later telling me something dreadful had happened. I called him immediately and that is when I found out. How did you know Eli?
He never said or complained, but that was just Eli strong till the end.
I think most litlle town on Finisterre have little library near the school or park or bus stopped, and people here have a good morality so the library here safe , even alot of people on the neighborhood will donate the books too.. people here I see love reading, good habit to do👍
Congrats 👏
Is where Doug? Tregunc?
Yes, Tregunc. Very near my home.
Stop objectivizing cats!
Love this video alot Doug 🙏
Thank you, Neli. That means a lot to me.
Sorry I didn’t respond sooner!
@@dougdina is okay Doug...keep doing your wonderful video and editing... Bravo 👏👏
Mine acts the the same with our 10 yr old bull-shitz. Jealousy abounds with bouncing and barking at her head. She's demanding full attention, much like puppies do.
Hi Doug, just found your channel...good job my friend 🙏👏
Thanks. I will keep making videos, as best I can, of those things that I find interesting or beautiful. The next few years will be exciting as I travel around all of France and push the boundaries of my video making skills. Best regards!!
ESS are the best!
I say this is cinematography quality. Sounds good. Original BGM? Nice to meet you.
Hi and thank you for commenting. For the background music I subscribe to Epidemic Sound. For the moment, they offer me enough choices of both music and EFX, but I may switch to a platform that offers a more robust selection of choices.
Is it too much to put your hand out and pet the dog.
HYSTERICAL!!! That was one of our 30+ foster dogs. I promise I didn’t torment all of them.
♥️👍👏👏👏👏
Que coisa linda, eu amo o cocker tenho dois.❤️
you're doing a good thing! keep it up! hug Patty for me :)
Que coisa mais linda, eu amo essa raça de cachorro .Tenho dois. São tão fofos ❤️
Awesome video Doug. I don't know how you managed without crying, but I'm sure there was plenty of that, off camera, (and here in my office.) Thankyou for being there. Thankyou to all of Europe's kind hearts. We will continue to support and pray for your efforts from here.
You are just too kind. Funny thing is … I’m not really considered a nice person!! Haha!!! But, these people need help and I’ll do what I can. When I was recording today’s video, I lost it a bit. But, imagine what they are going through? What they had and what is in their future? I’m willing to do whatever I can. It’s my mode now.
Merci ❤
J'espère retourner en Pologne et aider autant de personnes que possible. Merci et de m'encourager.
there's my million dollar scheme... fresh eggs 24/7 haha I love it
And it turns out that we bought a house just 100 meters from another egg “machine”. Many people buy their eggs and some people that we know drop by our place to say hello. The farm also has hundreds of sheep. The fields surround our house.
Nice video, I didn't know you could fly drones there?
Ummm …. I’m not sure either. Oopsie!!!
Nice filming and good little video. Theres a lot more there than when we last visited.
Yes, I agree !!! I wanna go back in a few months and see what’s new.
very sorry for your loss and his family's. thank you for sharing this with us. you're a great videographer
Rhonda, Thank you for your kind words. Eli really was a wonderful person. I wish everyone in the world got to meet him. Those that did became his friend. We will miss him dearly.
