Im not sure what the knob is called on the guitar that hes turning during that part of the performance, but i could easily listen to that an fall asleep. It sounds so peaceful
Great tune. Hope he turns his life to the Lord Jesus! Love you Adam!
Toby Mac
Never cared for that song. I would have gone with Satchel.
Love my Texas Troubadour! #1 Ernest fan right here.
Parasite Ladies
My favorite kings x song hands down😊ty tabor forever
Was watching "Don't mess with the Zohan" tonight and as soon as he starts washing the lady's hair I jumped on KZread for the song 😅❤
In a heartbeat Adam 💓
Is that my grandma? I had no idea she could even play the guitar.
Always been one of my favorite Van Halen songs, and never did I think I’d see it played live. I was at this show, had a great time!
First time I watched it since that night. I thought they killed it. Glad to see it was confirmed. Wow great seeing.
what a way to spend a summer, it's nice work if you get it
Great cover band ✔️
Sounds fantastic
Right on man! So good to see this!!!
He said 1992 again. 😂🤣😂
Awesomeness
CHICKENFOOT….
His range just ain't the same.
So it’s CHICKENFOOT…..
Doesn't have Chad Smith on drums.
@@Indylimburg that’s just the drummer….
@@StONed-yx5qq Right. They don't consider themselves Chickenfoot unless Chad Smith is with them.
@@Indylimburg the CIRCLE , Sammy Hagar…CHICKENFOOT …what’s the diff?
I couldn’t make it through this. There’s just no replacing Eddie.
Sammy held up and autographed my NC 5150 license plate! Highlight reel moment for sure!
lol!! I was about 4 rows back. I kept seeing that plate bounce around down near the stage. My favorite was the Ric Flair robe someone brought in.
Crazy how little time Joe had to learn these tunes, and sounds this good. 🤘🏼
Awesome job guys!😊😊😊😊
I have watched every video of Joe playing summer nights and he keeps getting smoother with the intro every time he plays it Hell Yeah 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
I was there on the lawn. Awesome show and Joe is a legend of his own, he crushed it all night!!
I was there...a dream come true
Me too. It would be better if it didn't rain later on. Good show by the way.
Why is there a need for a second guitarist?
Eddie used a Steinberger transtrem which basically lets you change the key of the guitar live during the song. The transitions between sections where Eddie used this are almost impossible to get natural sounding through normal playing without the transtrem. I am guessing that the other guitarist is to fill in for cases where Satch couldn't shift positions quite fast enough.
Eddie passes and Alex stops playing. I am sure if Alex passed (first) Eddie would still play. This is a great show.
Ive watched the show and in no way is this a " tribute ' to Eddie. Sammy mentions him a few times but they sound like an old cover band. I don't blame alex and dave for bailing.
I think you miss the point of this tour. Most cover bands don't have Joe, Jason, Mike in them. Leading up I never heard him mention it was a tribute to Ed at all. It's just a celebration of music he created many years ago. That's it. Pretty simple.
I think it's highly likely they were told by the lawyers that they weren't allowed to show or mention EVH or the VH name/logo.
I don't recall anyone saying it was a tribute to Eddie. He said it was a celebration of the Sammy and VH music. The band sounded awesome, I was 5 rows back.
@@rodneybrown4304 sammy said it on the Howard Stern show. That was the draw. Alex and Dave said no to it so now it's Sammy filling his ego.
We're supposed to talk about eddie a little.....this tune on live without a net....is a flogging monster!!! Eddie jedi...b4 he went Darth Vader in 2004 Also...I absolutely love satriani...easily mvp for 2024 music
Bands, summer tour...2024....perhaps sammy here " best of all worlds " and of course phish... I'd go with the sammy tour...it's amazing to see these guys bring these tunes back!!! Amazing
I know its not Ed but Joe is doing an amazing job and I think Ed would be proud.Awesome job guys
Yes. A tribute to Eddie!
Joe is better!
@@timackerman4689It's not a competition.
Best Audio and Video so far on youtube from this tour 🎉🎉🎉 Good Job Dude
Thanks! I'm sure some better will come out but very cool for you to say...EVH Forever!
This is how it's done rockers
Anthony is a stud
please stop..you are trashing eddie
Quit doing drugs - they kill brain cells.
Ridiculous. These are WORLD CLASS musicians up there playing what Michael and Sammy helped create. Don't like it? Don't watch.
Wtf😱
Satch would be my first only choice to pull this off and he did!!!! Job well done!
I was there down front!!! One bad ass show. Thanks to the guys for doing this. Brought back many memories from my youth and teen years. RIP EVH
My ears where deaf for 2 days, loved the power they drove it with, tons of BadAss they brought to town
I was there and it was an amazing show! All these guys have still got it and then some! I appreciate them for the tour. This one was for the fans for sure.
Of the VH tunes, this one I felt Satch did the best - the guitar sound and parts even if the solo was different
Its like watching a good cover band. Not Sure why they drum kit has a Led Zepplin member on it? But with all the backing tracks and high quality equipment they could do a better job with Sams vocals.
That Led Zeppelin members face is John Bonham. Jason, the drummer in the video is his son.
@@morselarielleand Alex VH was a huge John Bonham fan as well, they used Led Zep producer Andy Johns for the big drum sound Alex wanted on For Unlawfuk Carnal Knowledge
lol
If you knew anything about this you would know that the drummer, Jason, is John Bonho’s son. John was the drummer for Led Zeppelin and influenced Alex Van Halen greatly. Covers Band? 😂😂😂😂 Professionals with years of experience kicking ass and doing an amazing job to celebrate what was the greatest years of my life!
Stupidest comment this week. Ffs.
As close to VH as you can get.
Joe's definitely got the chops, but he's still working his ass off up there trying to recreate what seemed to come naturally to Ed. Plus, Ed was dancing, spinning, and hopping all over...without missing a note. Don't get me wrong. I love this tribute, and long overdue. Wish I could make it to one of these shows.
I felt like he did his homework, especially w/the varied tones to recreate the sound. Satriani isn't laboring at all just being respectful imo by not adding in all the runs and extra links he could. Eddie was one of a kind and Satch is one of the very few who could have done this properly. Quite frankly I was very impressed w/how accurate his notes were.
@@klyoun1 I agree with you, and Joe is probably one of a very select few that could do the job. I just feel he's a little stiff recreating Eddie's performances. Maybe it comes from trying to do someone else's material. Lord knows he's not like this while surfing, or boogie-ing. Plus spinning and hopping is a young man's game...Ed wasn't doing the hop his last several years of performances, either...
Sitting in the audience, all of us singing "Summer Nights" along with Sammy at the Pavilion on a hot summer night -- Priceless!!
Hall of Fame worthy lineup …. Sammy is almost 77 years old and can still pull it off. All these guys have the money and don’t have to do this but they do. Appreciate greatness while you still can 🤘🏼
Satch even standing like Eddie there for a minute 👍👍👍👍
Joe is a better musician than EVH.
@@brownj2 not in my opinion…… Eddie will always be the best
"Best of All Worlds" one of the best concerts ever!!
What a fantastic show!!! We had a blast - No one rocks like Sammy!!!!
