  Yep, it's the normal automatic gearbox (made in Japan) with manual mode. That is not the robot box you mentioned in the video. The robot was installed to the hybrid versions of 508, 1-gen.

  Thank you! Indeed it is a semi-automatic ECG gearbox, which by driving it is like a robot,and it is a small nightmare when it brakes) 😅

  this is still the automated EGS 6 speed, only from the facelift 508 in 2015 did they add the proper automatic slush box to the 120hp 1.6 HDI, source : i work on them daily

  Great review. I love this car, didn't know about the hidden compartments in the middle seats. My theory why car manufacturers love red lights on dashboard is because red does not affect your night vision (does not dilate your pupil) as much as other colours.

  A very enjoyable video. I bought a 2010 200slk last July and absolutely love it. I travel to work daily in mine which is a round trip of 65 miles. The car has style, power, presence and comfort. It sucks in the snow and ice...but we all knew that would be so. I have 2 very minor niggles about the design...1) manoeuvring the car in tight car parks, I keep hitting the silver horn button on the steering wheel spoke and 2) I keep hitting the bonnet release with my big foot! Is it a head turner?? Yes. I live in a rural area so not many around. I have red calipers with jet black spoked rims. The car is obsidian black. The full picture just looks stunning. Well pleased with my slk200.

  Hi, In Japan it was release from 08.2001 till 08.2004 before having the facelift. And for cars 08.2001 is considered as 2002 model year.

  If your breaks do not break, get them fixed ... ( can get expensive, there are 3 seperate breaks that do a very good job when working correctly, everything else is simply dangerous - - - and ... the DOT4 i see in your trunk is poison for this car, it needs a special fluid that is hardly availible noadays )

  Thank you very much for the review. I used to have olderm odel dig-s model. Only issue I had was A/C fail to give cool air during very hot Cyprus summer. There is very big differences in both performance and fuel economy between DIG-S and non DIG-S model. In DIG-S model due to supercharged it has more torque thats why you need less fuel when accelerating. I will buy it again with full option (with cruise control etc.) but I couldnt find yet.

  Any car worth it with a clean history or if you know the owner took care of it. This car especially is long time no more under the ownership of my colleague so I really couldn’t say anything if the car is ok or not :(

  Hi, in the video is the supercharge version. It is using around 7.5-8 l of petrol per 100km in the city. It was quite reliable, just do not forget to change the oil including in the gearbox on time and do not floor it as a formula 1 from the start 😅

  @@VictoriosoReviews Rubbish and fuel consumption is a problem, not least because long and frequent filling stops are more inconvenient that the expense. 12.5-14 mpg would be accurate and unlike you I didn't have to "ask a friend".
