Where did you stay? Did you stay in Osu?
I have stayed in Osu, at Feehi's Place. On this trip, I stayed in Adenta at Nana's Holiday Let.
I had no idea there was so much to be done in Ghana. It seems like it would take a couple weeks to get most of it done. However, from what I have observed of the Ghanaian people in your videos, it would not be difficult as the people would be helpful and pleasant. It also seems getting around in Ghana is not too difficult.
My first trip to Ghana was 3 weeks and I did a lot. It's much easier to get around now, there are a lot more paved roads, but there are still some bumpy spots, too. But yeah, there's a lot to do here. 😁
Love Ed this video 😄
😊 thanks
I'm sorry to say this, but I definitely don't recommend these sandals. I recently bought a pair on Jun 2024, brand new, for a 2-week trip to Thailand during the rainy season, islands trips, etc. Unfortunately, although the sandals are pretty tough, they gave me blisters all over my feet when water was involved. I had to put on a sock to tolerate the pain. Do not use this if your feet and the sandals will get wet. Also, it takes a lot of time for these sandals to dry when fully wet. Additionally, although the grip btw the sole with the ground is very good, the grip between your feet and the top part of the sole is very slippery, so you would need to really tighten your sandals if you want to feel secure. I'm honestly very disappointed considering their price. I'm going to limit their use to indoors and with a sock on my feet. If anyone has a better recommendation for a similar price range, please comment.
I'm sorry you had a bad experience and that they don't suit your feet well. I'm surprised to hear that you had an issue in the water. I hiked up to a waterfall. Fully submerged them in the pool at the bottom of the falls and then hiked back down with no problems. I will agree, though, because the velcro and fabric are extra sturdy, they do take a while to dry out. I hope you have better luck with whatever you get next time. Thanks for watching and commenting.
@@ThisGalTravels maybe it's my skin that is not thick enough and when moist weakens, idk. Tbh these are my first hiking sandals. When they're dry, they are perfect. But when they're wet, they sucked for me. I definitely not recommend these for beginners like me
I completely understand. What works for one person may not work for others. It's good to have your input.
If only there were more people in the world like you and me. what a wonderful world it would be. I’m coming to Ghana to visit a friend for the first time. about a month and a half thank you so much for your videos. I’m coming from Brentwood California And I’m gonna have to get used to that humidity one love
Thank you! I hope you have a great trip to Ghana. If you make it up to Tamale, let me know and maybe we can meet for coffee.
We don't have that much coffee because all we need is the heat from the sun😂 not caffeine
🤣🤣🤣
woww GHANA also calling BATIK??
Most definitely 😁
Hi Trina this is a very informative video, I enjoyed it very much thank you for sharing and will be checking out your book😁🙌🏾
Thank you! 😊 I hope you have a great trip to Ghana!

I enjoyed this watery update. Watch out for thunder and lightning storms. In the past I've had computers fried because of lightning strikes. Not much fun. If your 'whole of Ghana' video is very big I won't be able to watch it. Maybe you could look at chapters or episodes once you've got the whole thing organised.
Yeah, kif the power starts going weird, I always unplug. I will definitely have chapters within the KZread video. Is that good enough? Or are you suggesting that I release as multiple videos? I'm not sure that will work well, but I can consider it.
@@ThisGalTravels I think it depends on how long the finished video is.
@@HavePension-WillTravel got it. That makes sense.
@@ThisGalTravels Well, I will be looking out for all the new videos but I must confess that I live in the Cook Islands so getting to Ghana is tricky!
@@HavePension-WillTravel I understand
Philippines
I haven't made it there yet, but I will

@@ThisGalTravels I'm in Ghana and fairly new, struggling to just go and explore. Are there any places to meet other expats and any pointers to follow? Thank you 😊
Are you in Accra? For Accra, just pick somewhere you're interested in (Google Maps is your friend) and order a Bolt (like an Uber, you'll need the app), same with Kumasi. It works in Cape Coast for the in-town bits, for anything out of town, I recommend hiring my driver friend, Junior, at +233 244 736 171. If you make it up to Tamale, I can show you around town a bit and then turn you over to my friend and guide, Abdullah +233 240 519 181 for Mole Park, or Bolgatanga, Paga and such. Ghanaians are really friendly. Give them the opportunity and you'll make friends. However, if they think you're from here, you'll get less attention - until they discover you're a traveler. As far as expat places, I can't help there. I don't generally seek out other travelers and expats. Happy to hang out if I run into any, but not a quest for me. You might try looking at the channel @ExpatLifeGhana. I think they'd be better for that kind of information. As far as pointers, Ghanaians are charmers when it comes to selling you stuff, don't go crazy on souvenirs all at once. Also, try to find out the price of things you know you're going to want to buy, or do, before you find yourself in the haggle situation. Having a target price range is really helpful. And don't be afraid to ask hotel staff for help. They're usually pretty good, or can find out if they don't know themselves (like which bus station to use for a specific destination). Let me know if you have any more questions. I'm happy to help. Oh, and akwaaba, or as they say up north, here, amaraba. Welcome to Ghana!
@@ThisGalTravels thank you very much I appreciate that!!
@@ThisGalTravels I'll definitely pay a visit to Tamele I'm so excited, thank you very much
I think you need some correction. Where you see this new market is actually not the central market you described to exist about 20 years ago. Where you see this new market was actually the station for the commercial transport vehicles. The transport station was converted to this modern market so that those occupied the old market move away from there to this new one so that the old market can be rebuilt. The project stalled and isn't completed.
Okay, thank you for the information. I knew it was a new location, but I never realized that they intended to rebuild the old market. I appreciate you setting me straight. This explains a lot about the layout of the market. Thanks.
Great review.
Thank you. A year later and I still love them.
❤ What's your spy camera that you use?
They're sport sunglasses. The camera isn't really hidden, it's right between my eyes, but most people aren't expecting it so they don't recognize it for what it is.
@@ThisGalTravels ahhh that's pretty cool haha 👌😄
Thanks
😎👍
@@ThisGalTravels what hotel in Cape coast did you say you stayed in?
@@dougscience6361 I stayed at Arafynn Hotel. It's on Google maps.
I should add, great rooms, reasonable price and an all day restaurant - though communicate with them at breakfast about lunch and dinner

The handshake point is sooo ooo true ❤ 1 month in Ghana and I agree

I like their new moves, they add interest to the dance. 😁
Yes, they're getting very creative
I bet this place does rock at night. Sounds like fun to me 😻😆
Definitely worth the drive to get there.
You are correct, the blocking the exit was too much, they where too much!
Thank you! I appreciate your comment. The nice thing about Oxford Street is that there's always somewhere you can dive into or, in most cases, just cross the street.
Awesome, good to know 👍. Thanks
☺️
Great job please keep it up
Thank you!
I'm glad you are enjoying Ghana's great hospitality and sweet peace in Africa. Tamale is really a beautiful city. Don't forget to enjoy More of the rich natural Ghanaian Cuisines like TZ, Waakye, Koose, Banku, Fufu and Kenkey among others...😋🇬🇭
Thanks. I've tried all of those, and they are great.

You're welcome. Glad you like it!
Awesome🎉🎉🎉🎉
Thank you!!!
I miss life in Tamale, such a lovely city with loveliest and honest people. Watching all the way from Abu Dhabi.
I love it here, too.
I found the same tactics when I visited Ghana! I'm glad I had someone with me who could and did haggle on my behalf. I think they see a tourist and automatically see a target!
These tactics get used in a lot of places, but Ghanaians are generally friendly and easy going (mostly) which also makes them smooth talkers. Sometimes I have so much fun talking with someone I don't mind giving them a few extra cedis. I'm glad you had someone with you to help out. I hope you had a great time in Ghana. There's a lot to like here.
Thank you for this! Just ordered me a pair of terra fi 5 Tevas and i am so excited for them to come in the mail, i will wear all summer, including everywhere we travel! ☺️
I hope you love them as much as I do. I'm closing in on having mine for a year and they're still like new (once they get a good cleaning).
I love how well you explain things and honest you are.
Thank you.

My hometown nice to see you
I love Tamale. Glad you like the video.
Hope you can visit the Palace Mall, West End Mall. I heard there are a lot of them
There are a LOT of malls. I went to 3. Maybe the next time I'm in Accra I'll hit a few more.
😢sorry for the people who lost their livelihood.
Yeah. My friend is a delivery guy. He got moved to their other location on the opposite side of Tamale. But the rest of the people may not be so lucky. Even if they rebuild, it will be a long time.
Just a question. Do businesses in Ghana and other countries in Africa generally have insurance?
That was my thought, too. It's not required that I know of. I don't know if the owner here has insurance or not.
@@ThisGalTravels Regardless, it’s sad that this happened since it’s been around so long and seemed to be popular. 😟
