I've been seeing When the Moon Hatched everywhere. It sounds interesting and I might read it. The synopsis says it has witty banter and strong, sassy protagonists which does draw me to it.

I have a long backlog of BOTM and Aardvark books I need to get through! Sometimes the desire for that add-ons or 2 is too strong and they add up with other book purchases lol I created a spinner wheel on my phone with an app, but like the added idea of a certain number and time before reading or donating them. I'll be following along to this series!

"$15!!, I'll think about it" 😂 I feel like I would love Robin Hobb bit every time I pick it up I'm not in the mood . Going to keep trying I may be alone in this but I dislike it artwork that shows me how the author sees the characters because my inner voice (outside voice if im home or alone) cannot help but softly yell 'that's not what they look like!! Included in this issue I have is second books that reveal this art on the cover after I have already spent hours/days creating the beautiful creatures 😅😂 Added a library hold for Invocation & The Wren in the Holly Library and got the audiobook for The Z Word. Thank you for the recommendation :)

I actually agree with you on the artwork, it either skews how I want to view the characters or they're just not depicted how I want them to be! That pain you were describing sounds like when I pinched my sciatic nerve in my back a few years ago (I was 27 at the time so same. Fairly healthy) It made my whole right leg swell up from hip to ankle and had me crying on the kitchen floor (I have high tolerance of pain too). Those muscle relaxer steroids helped me too. But sadly once you pinch your sciatic nerve it is super easy to pinch again. Glad to know you got better by the end of the video

Grimm's Puppets by Tom Prater is one of my go-to psychological thriller recommendations (and go-to indie recommendations too). It's set in the 1980s, inspired by some of the Grimm fairytales. Its tagline is: A fairytale ending was never on the cards.... It got me back into reading, and helped me realise I really love the thriller genre.

I need to continue the All Souls Trilogy. I'm currently re-listening to A Discovery of Witches for the 4th time-I listen to continue the series and then don't. I really like Dianna and Matthew. Also, I watch the first season of the tv adaptation and can't continue without spoiling the next book since the series ends right where the book ends. I also got a book set despite already having enough series to finish or get into at the time I boought it. 😆 I really liked your honesty on the subscription boxes. I have FMO, but in the grand scheme of things not having a special edition isn't important. Also, I have a few books from a subscription that I still haven't read. I recently cancelled a subscription in order to save money and put it towards something more important like travel or day trips.

I'm literally about to cancel all my sub boxes honestly...I've been trying to romanticize using my library more and it's been working! I agree - the FOMO is real but I truly think I could be saving the money and spending it on something I actually want to read, not just something that looks pretty. Keep me posted on your reread!! I still haven't gotten to it...I kinda wanna wait until fall :)

That books seems to be polarizing-love or hate and not inbetween. I have a copy, but haven't read it yet. Blooms seems to be this month's book. This is not the first I've heard of it. I pre-ordered Heaven Breaker and then didn't get it because the way it is talked about comes across as something for sci-fi aficionados and might be too much for those who aren't regular sci-fi readers. It does sound interesting and the book is beautiful.

I think Heavenbreaker is going to be a hit or miss for folks. I absolutely loved it, but a friend of mine thought it was mid. You must read Ninth House only because Hell Bent was even better!!
