I can still hear my Mum and Dad pissing themselves with laughter now As I tried to get some sleep Ready for school the next morning

  • @dickbrocke
    @dickbrocke7 ай бұрын

    @@aaronstately The philosopher's stone might well be hated by some, but it might also not be hated by others. It could, perhaps, even be loved the way a god is loved. Hypothetically, if the stone was found, both the bullion and diamond industry might hate it. Imagine all of those pieces of coal ending up producing so many multi-diamond rings and tiaras. The British Royal Family would become very jealous. And how about all of that lead, transformed and later traded as certified gold? Given the right conditions and (if you accept that the philosopher's stone as being a tangible and movable object, it seems likely that it could be (or have been) transported to a muddy location by some means. If so, I wonder if it would remain there, (so that it would always be located in the same muddy place), because something or other might just shift it from time to time (even if temporarily shifting it out of the mud to clean it up so that they could take a good look at it). Yes, that's very deep. Thanks for giving me even more to deliberate on and over now. Darn, it's now got me started on that noisy kitchen tap again, going drip, drip, drip ect. I wish that darned tap would just be quiet once in a while. Meanwhile, Project Magnum Opus continues, I guess (perhaps in earnest).

I followed it right and same thing. Then I hit the streets to hook up with the guys. We had no problems. It lasted a long time.

    John Lennox is a name-dropping fraud, he talks a lot but actually says very little. His answer to everything is "God did it", which means he doesn't provide an answer to any question. The most important questions are not answered by philosophy, because philosophy does not provide answers, all philosophy does is allow people to talk about the questions. Philosophy is like praying, the only person to benefit is the person doing the philosophising and the praying.

    My friends and, I were on Times Square when the lights went out. We were going to the movies. Thank goodness we drove downtown that night. We got back in the car and, went back home. I sat in my bedroom for the rest of the night, watching people running through the streets with stolen furniture, freezers and, cop cars chasing people. It was crazy. The next day, in East Harlem, the third avenue shopping area had a lot of stores and, they had a been broken in to. Their locked gates were all torn down and, their windows were busted open. The area looked like a war zone.

    10:40 He didn't lose anything... The ascending back into heaven & ruling was not a sacrifice or a loss. This guy's question is so flawed it made no sense. The sacrifice part was prior to that (I'm curious if he's aware of what crucifixion is or what it'd be like to be punished for the sins/crimes of others by God). Regardless, the resurrection, ascension & ruling would be a victorious, triumphant and fitting thing for Jesus after defeating death & the sin question and being glorified.

    The questions many of these kids were asking seemed to betray a poor understanding of the topics or of Christianity in general. Many of them also didn't seem to be asking in very good faith or they were irritated at the speaker or trying unsuccessfully to make him look stupid. I hope this is not the state of colleges or universities now days.

  • @switzerlandful
    @switzerlandful Жыл бұрын

    I wish Doug still would have called them out however. Kids need to be told how to improve their questions. Constructive criticism is much needed today. I also wish the students would say if they think their question got answered. I like to see things get wrapped up instead of left open. But then again, I guess they only have so much time. This Q/A was honestly pretty atrocious on the part of the students. However, Doug seemed to do a good job regardless of whether they understood him.

    The Germans stole them in the first place. That was the whole thing with all that art that was captured, it had been looted wholesale from everywhere the Nazis invaded. What actually happens, when things work right, is that it goes back to the ORIGINAL original owners, who it was stolen from. Unless you're Russian in which case you just hide it away in a warehouse in your country. I look forward to the day that country faces the same reckoning the Nazis did.
