    It always amazes me how you clear the early game so easily. I struggle a lot with certain clan combinations early game. If I can pass the early game, I usually get the clear, but the first few fights are rough. They are probably the hardest part of the run. That is why I sympathise with the people that watches half way throught. I still watch the whole thing though, personally.

    Okay man, unnamed tome is very good and definitely deserves a spot on the list, but Engraft can fix runs on its own. If you give engraft holdover and +10 magic power, your units are constantly being healed. If you give it -1 cost instead of the magic power, it becomes a free additional ember. I really don’t see why engraft isn’t on the list. I would love to hear your opinion on the card, but I really think the card is crazy and has some incredible synergies.

    The best thing about quick when you have morsels is that they get eaten before the enemy attacks so it blocks the main issue with morsels and the Divinity.

    hey, i have an input for these videos, in the intro, maybe dont spoil the entirety of the previous run? i dont think people would be inclined to watch said previous run if it was spoiled since some people mightve watched your videos out of order, but of course, its ur video and channel, just a thought i had while listening on the intro of this run, i know this comment sounds like complaints and maybe rude but i dont mean it to turn out like this, im currently tipsy and english isnt my first language, so pls dont be offended, just a minor discomfort im having with this series is all

    My experience was the opposite - when I first found dusk, I heard the intro about the previous run, thought it sounded like a cool run, paused the video and started watching the previous run, that run's intro talked about the previous run... Until I accidentally watched most of dusk's runs!

  • @AshEshyr
    @AshEshyrКүн бұрын

    i actually *am* watching on a tuesday, I'll have you know. Outer wilds: . . . . . . shame you struggled to like outer wilds, but i do understand your reasoning. I think saying it will be more impactful mainly for younger players is a bit reductive, but it does seem to toe the line between "the most impactful game someone will ever play" and "not getting it". I have definitely seen people who work in the space industry be compltely fine with how outer wild's world bends the rules, but maybe if you are not an avid reader of fantasy or something with a similar level if breaking the rules, it gets harder to do that sort of mental recalibration.

  • @RisingDusk
    @RisingDusk19 сағат бұрын

    I didn't mean to be reductive, but I think a reduced grasp on physics (or an extremely potent ability to suspend disbelief) is pretty necessary. I get the mechanical reason why the game makes planets so small, but it breaks its own doctrine regularly by trying to prop up quantum mechanics as core to the gameplay but then breaking basic physics in so many other places.

  • @SarahCharles92
    @SarahCharles92Күн бұрын

    If you want a game that is interesting like Outer Wilds, but doesn't ask you to suspend your disbelief in physics, The Witness is great.

    It´s kind of a shame to see so few "For the Greater Goods" runs (even i take this card so rarely). This card is mostly acceptable but gets really hard thrown in the shadows by the sunder or sap stones. Therefore i really appreciate to see this run.

  • @RisingDusk
    @RisingDusk19 сағат бұрын

    Yeah, exactly! The card's not even bad, it's just competing with such ridiculously powerful upgrades.

  • @pennycarty7794
    @pennycarty7794Күн бұрын

    I immediately dropped what I was doing to see a run that uses For The Greater Good. That is *unheard of* EDIT: FtGG feels like an alright to great card. The problem is that by taking it you aren't taking sapstone/sunderstone (mainly the latter), and that's not really worth it most of the time.

  • @RisingDusk
    @RisingDusk19 сағат бұрын

    I am very surprised that the ascension for your first ability works with the frosted half charm to add damage to burn. It says that the extra frostbite damage lasts "until end of turn" which should happen before the enemies take burn damage at the end of their own turn, right? Am I missing something or is the description just wrong?

  • @RisingDusk
    @RisingDuskКүн бұрын

    The main reason this works as well as it does is here because I can trigger burn on my turn with Incinerate, otherwise I believe the description is correct. That said, I'm not sure if "end of turn" is the end of my turn or the end of the entire turn, which would describe your observation if so.

    Mercurial elixir is amazing early with right bindings. You can drop poison vapor twice in row, which would kill first wave in hard encounter (pot encluded). With two you can burst second phase on the boss.

    I think in ring 5, since the goal was to get baron at a high burnout, it would have helped to let him die early instead of keeping him alive with burnout on top floor.

  • @RisingDusk

    That results in me taking a bunch of pyre damage on the turn he burns out, however, which hurts my score more than I gain from playing bottom floor in the first place.

    Pretty sure the pre-relentless on Talos was to put the Wicklash up top, and stack Draf up there as much as possible. Not 100% that this would work, but I was thinking Wicklash should go there since you would want those Draf alive if Talos goes back up.

  • @RisingDusk
    @RisingDusk2 күн бұрын

    Possibly. I think it's a much easier pre-relentless if you have the Multistrike in a draff like the #1 player had. Really hard to ever predict that to be the correct direction, though; it's such a hail mary.

    this run seems very strong, stronger than average "good" runs even, not sure why it is considered cursed, the unit drafts are premium and carries through early game while fade just does fade things, even without investing in entrapment, crystal cloak isn't even a threat tbh, the options in the run are great, steelworker/brute or even a pivot to railbeater is available
