Yeah, I got to be honest. I don’t get how one piece keeps selling out. I mean it might just be the stores who keep not buying enough cards or people are just over buying. I mean when I tried getting into the game all my store had the black set in the Yamato set and that was it because they only bought like three of the other boxes so my guess is it’s just a screwup from the people buying the sets for their stores

In my country, scalpers take over everything these days. They re-sell more items than a retail store did. And yeah, pretty expensive as well. I don't know, sometimes I felt like these scalpers thingy actually destroying someone else hobby. A real hobby. And make it like, it's all about money. But when we trying to sell our own items that we hunt with bl**d, sweat and tears to find them, it don't have any value at all. 🤷🏽

There is plenty of product. This video was made 3 months to late. Most LGS have stacks of boxes. Don't look at big box stores.

I had this same problem until they opened an official one piece store near me a month ago. Even then it’s still difficult at time but at least when they do have what I’m looking for I can get them for retail.

I recommend hitting up local tcg shops. Like here in little rock we got a place called game goblins that has some stuff. But still hard to find

Its a combination of FOMO and Scalpers. Its up to Bandai to tell their big Box stores to serve limits. I know at one point in Japan, some places forbid adults to buy pokemon cards to ensure the game stays kid friendly and to stop resellers from ruining the game. Limits will never happen because big box stores arent there to cater to a player base obvious. It just needs to push product out the door. That said, i will always prefer to give my business to a LGS than a big box. They may have your product and can limit people from buying all of their stock. Im not surprised you couldnt find anything from these places. Scalpers know when Walmart and Target restock their TCGs too.

Found a hidden gem in my city, always have stock for great prices. They had OP01 booster boxes for $120! Got a OP05 box for $110 and pulled a manga kid!

Something you might not knwo is that in order for stores to carry booster boxes they need to apply to Bandai. I think blister packs are more okay for walmarts, targets etc. Yet in order to sell expressively you need to be a card game store that is licensed by Bandai.

Here in Italy from op06 we've had lots of products, the other day I still found some op05 packs around for market price in (allegedly) legit stores (allegedly because in 5 packs I didn't find anything, but I'm pretty unlucky so maybe's not the store's fault lmao)

The shortages suck, thankfully there's a one piece card store like an hour from my home. It's worth the drive as they have tournaments there too and it's in an epic japanese superstore.

Theres literally zero one piece cards at big stores like Target and Walmart. You can only find the product at card shops and good luck. Luckily the one i go to has had decent stock, they increased the prices though....

Disney Lorcana is getting up there in popularity as well. It's only been out for a year, but during the first 6 months of it's life it was near impossible to get unless you bought it from scalpers, luckily it's now available regularly and our local community is thriving.

I got into about 2mos before OP07 dropped and I’ve been learning it and wanting to build my decks black/purple and in the type that buys sealed booster boxes if I can find them. I have the income and wanna enjoy my cards and my time w friends…guess I’ll borrow my friends big green deck 😢

Bandai needs to increase printing. It's definitely getting better now than earlier sets, and prices are dropping all around. The best thing I have seen to combat this is some local shops that only sell limited quantities to regular players in the tournaments.

Best way to prevent you from not being able to get product is to create a good relationship and community within a tcg. I know a tcg that makes sure everyone there who plays there has a good and fair amount of product for everyone involved.

Is this video super old and being posted late??? There have been massive reprints in this USA and Japanese OP seems to be much more plentiful than the US. Right now you can get cases (and single BBs) of OP under or at retail in the USA. What's the issue? I personally think you looked in the wrong places and the LGS should have been the first place you went. The vid was cute and had your experience not been focused on reaction vs actual truth of the stock situation then I wouldn't have said anything. Keep up the good work but please do better with the truth of the situation.
