I remember these days in the 70’s same age as your boys out with my Dad on Sunday mornings. Snot running out of you, wellies on too big, freezing cold but it puts manners in you. Loved it. Plenty of sport there well done. Wish we had those long nets back in the day.
@cumbriahunter3 ай бұрын
It's great teachings all around for the kids and keeps them off the technology and out of trouble. The boys are my friends son and step-son . It's great seeing them learn and want to get involved. My 2 boys arnt quite old enough but they will definitely be by my side (if they choose obviously) . I can't wait for the day . Yes I've used purse nets for the 26 early years of ferreting and just the past 3 or 4 I've started using longnets more . They can be stressful putting away because you need to take every individual stick out , but when it comes to catching big bags of rabbits I wouldn't use any other method. It stops double or triple bolts , spinning the net , pulling pegs ext. . Thank you for watching and commenting mate I really appreciate it 👍

Oh and what about the mixy issue, has that now disappeared?.
@cumbriahunter3 ай бұрын
Thanks mate . No not much difference in the wild polecat . Just domesticated and size , although there are a lot of large domesticated polecats . Yes mixi is still around, there is a new disease now aswell which is worse than mixi . Its called RHD it affects the internal organs and causes internal bleeding
