I’m legit 50/50 on doing the same thing
@@joshharrison3634 do it, best decision I ever made 🙂 if you don’t try, you’ll never know
Well done you, I will follow your progress in Canada 😊🏴🇨🇦
A great story . Good luck with the Canadian test . ❤
Fair play to Ya 👍 hardest thing ever saying goodbye, I've been here 15yrs now with my family had my own truck for over 10yrs. Try Penner International for a job there's plenty of lady drivers on here and as driving jobs go out here it's one of the best for dryvan work, are main yard is in Steinbach Manitoba but also have terminals all over canada with one in Mississauga and they were looking for drivers based there a few months ago, best of luck 👍 and if ya need and questions answered on driving out here feel free to ask. Cheers Neal
@@nianiamh thank you SO much Neal, I’m definitely gonna give it a go and Mississauga is actually where I’m currently based so thank you!
I recently passed my Class 2 after the 4th attempt because of nerves. I had the same careless approach too and I think that helped. I'm now driving car transporters and that's hard. Again, during the training I feel anxious and nervous as I'm with the boss.
Now that's a brave move. I really admire your just do it attitude, well done luck will be on your side. go for it
You only really fail when you give up, Good luck in Canada i looked at it 20 years ago but decided it wasn't for me 👍
Cool, I’m dual nationality , lived over in Montreal for a few years. Personally happy to be back in the U.K. now, but will go back to Canada’s for holidays.
did you say c1+e?... was that the vehicle you passed in which is on the photo?
Congrats on passing your test. Even a driver with 15 years of experience can fail a test on any given day. It comes down to luck and technicalities. It will be your attitude to safety that will get you safely through your career. The GTA is a horribly expensive place to live, and a stressful place to drive. Winter driving will present you with your greatest challenges. Give some thought to living out west, MB, SK or AB. In Alberta driving jobs are plentiful, and with a good safety record, your time spent looking for a job will be measured in minutes rather than days. Welcome to your new corner of the Commonwealth. You will never be a stranger here!
I went on holiday to Vancouver in the 1990s and that's the only time I've ever looked at emigrating. My job isn't skilled enough so no chance of holiday visa or permanent residence. The best of luck to you it's a beautiful Country
Congratulations on your well deserved license! You're making big moves and it's great to see you're pursuing your dreams. Not many have the courage to.
Bless your heart.... I feel so so bad for you because you're starting your dream in the worst time possible. The "situation" in Canada has never been worse in many decades. The housing, especially in Toronto, in Ontario is crazy expensive and hard to find. The trucking industry is slow right now (I have lots of trucker friends and family) since Canadien economy is sliding into an ugly recession. The one advice I'll give you is if you can pass truck driving school in England, you'll find North American roads very easy so don't opt into "deluxe driving school" and just get the license so you can start driving. The school shouldn't cost youmore than 5k.
Honestly I would not move to Canada to drive trucks you get paid per mile messed around a lot and pay not the best and with the current circumstances and taxes you basically working for free can not afford anything or go anywhere and can not live of a single person wage…. Prices are ridiculous out here, you get 2 weeks of a year and work like a dog…. Trucking out in Canada and states is a life not a job it’s tough The only good think is that you travel and rack up miles like never before, I covered over 110k miles last year…. It’s crazy…. You get money back when you put your taxes in which is good…. I been out here for 4 years heading back to uk next year after taxes… Not trying to put a damper on your dreams just trying to let you know it not the dream like it used to be Canada change and not for the good
OK You are obviously crazy. Get out of Toronto as fast as you can, its like London but 10x worse. If it was me, I would go out to Manitoba, Sask, or Alberta. Lower densities will be better for driving. No one will hire you unless you can enter the USA without issue, although it seems you can do that already. It will take years to adjust to cities being days of driving away. Good luck.
@@acanadianineurope814 thanks, I guess? lol There are several reasons for me choosing Toronto, one of them being that my partner lives in New York so it’s way easier for us to see each other and it’s also closer to fly home and visit family. Thank you for the advice, I’m going to see how I get on here and then take it from there! 🙂
Best of luck in Canada and as I always say, if you can't do it now, when can you do it? 😉
Don't blame you get out of England it's now a third world country
First time I've seen your channel just subbed. I'm looking to move to Canada myself probably how your channel popped up. I'm a truck driver in England love driving too. Gonna watch how you get on. Have a amazing adventure good luck to you.
well welcome to Canada...my moms side of the family emigrated from the Manchester area to Canada...about 140 years ago :) .Canada is a BIG place, don't let your impressions of Toronto colour your view too much, life there is only one version of life in Canada...there are many others that can be different, and there's a place for everyone
You saw the way the Canadian government treated their truck drivers and thought you wanted a piece of that? 😂
So proud of you Jen and totally jealous! What an amazing adventure you are going to have. ❤️
CANIDA and USA can be an awesome places to visit but as they saying goes the grass isn't always greener on the other side. personally id prefer to viste than emigrate. maybe that's down to my life Experian's of being in the military and being based in canada for 6 months. pay can be better but housing isnt nessarly also must have health insurance and do you're taxes witch is one reason why pay seems better but not nesserly. but wish you wel. i have some veteran friends who moved to canida but doing banking. emigrating isnt easy. personally even when i my visiting some favrote places in the world like in the US i still miss the UK, in my opinion no where truly compares to home even if its on a bigger scale.but well done its not easy making big life changes let alone moving to a different country.
England is finished
ohhh no. canadian trucking is very very difficult. im a canadian (of indian origin)and driving is insanely hard on you physically and mentally. it stops being fun all of a sudden and then it hits u. be prepared to be a coffee/energy drink addict. i work as a diesel mechanic right now. its still a hard job but i prefer this to driving
Good luck darling ❤
Come be my girlfriend in Saskatchewan. I’m waiting to find a woman like you
new sub here, good luck in canada hope all your dreams come true
Well done Jen for following your dreams and going for it. Everything in life happens for a reason. Looking forward to seeing and following you on your journey 🎉🎉🎉🎉🙏🙏🙏🙏
My brave warrior who never gives up…. You go for it girl and grandad and I will be flying out to see you in the next few weeks. Can’t wait … love you gorgeous xx❤
well done congrats
Well this is a nice surprise, my heart was in my mouth when you failed the first 3 tests but you came through and can now start training again in Canada. I wish you every success, i am confident that you will soon be a trucker in Canada driving a Peterbilt that inspired back in the UK Take care, hope to hear from you again soon.
Hi Jennifer. If your instructor says you can drive... you can drive. I also struggle to pass practical tests as the nerves kick in, like with you. Good luck with your new life and career in Canada. p.s. Well done for making a grown man cry during this rather emotional video 😊
@@patlan754 Awh thank you for the lovely words, that means a lot!
Oh wow, congratulations! Looking forward to seeing your new life unfold, what a great adventure it will be!
I can't speak for Canada but I can definitely say that if it's anything like an American truck test for anybody with a UK class1 you'll absolutely waltz through it.I spent 30yrs driving trucks all over USA and Europe and New Zealand and if you'll permit me to offer you a couple of bits of advice. 1.Dont listen to the male macho bullshit that you'll get but as a northern girl I'm quite sure you can dish out as good as anything that comes your way. 2.North American trucks are a lot bigger and longer than over here maybe do a couple of months on a ridged first just to get a little experience. 3.Never be afraid to ask for help we all had to start somewhere. 4.And finally the father in me says if you really want to do long haul.As a female on her own please please please be careful.Trust your instincts if you don't feel safe then your probably not. Have a great time and welcome to the big boys(sorry girls) club!!🚛🇨🇦
Follow your dreams wonderful. And remember one thing. You only fail when you give up. The rest are just brick walls you have break down. Looking forward to your Maple updates.
Best of luck kid ☘️
It's a big country! Dream big & go for it! Subscribed & good luck!
A story of perseverance, courage and determination. Very pleased for you. You also are very good at storytelling. I was just thinking as another youtube option further down the road or if you ever wanted to change direction with youtube you'd be a good true crime stories and mysteries teller in the style of MrBallen.
Wow wasn’t expecting this well done and wish you all the best in your new life
Hello Jennifer I’ve sent you a Facebook message Robert
Great video! I am coming to the end of my second week as a trade plate driver. I see so many similarities between the way the company you work for and the one i work for. I use the MoDel app and i also get paid for the distance i drive between collecting and delivering a vehicle
Where did you get the Espresso glass from? Cute glass...!
Thank you! haha Honestly think it was just from Amazon! Doublewall glass espresso cup I think
When i had my Rx-8 deliverd they didnt specify bubbling but i got the car looking great it runs as it should i cant wait to drive it when i pass my test 😊😊
@@Learner-Driver-With-a-Mazda good luck and let me know how your test goes!
@jenniferwinters it should be fun I always wanted to drive cars just didn't want to drive something small at the time when I was in my 20s I always wanted a Mazda Rx-8 with a rotary engine since I was a child and now I can finally do it will let ya know.
So you scratched & scraped the alloy? Oh dear. Avoid curbs, potholes etc
@@Playstation-Trains23 So you assumed that I did that without having all the information or knowing for sure? Oh dear. Avoid being quick to assume and making unfair accusations etc
@@Playstation-Trains23 I think you’ll find it was actually a cheap stick on rim protector (the dealership were less than reputable it turns out) and the weather conditions caused it to peel off so maybe don’t be so quick to think you know it all next time 😁
Great vid, thinking about doing this as a part time job, so thanks for the real world insight into the job. You seem like you've been youtubing for years. Good luck with it all.
get out of that job kid ,its no good to you
@@fredfox1764 oh trust me I have big plans for the future which you’ll see in my next video so be sure to subscribe! 😊
"Been there , done that!" T.P. drivers rarely get any gratitude from either bosses or Customers. (except on rare occasion's) Did it for a year, all types, all classes of vehicles. Pay was crap, hours extensive. Never again.
A HA ..TATA strikes again ..more cable ties please ...
In a Land Rover ! How strange that an engine light being on 😂😂😂😂😂!!!! The Range Rover dealer all but warn you to go buy anything else because they are fed up with people returning the dam things 🤣🤪🤷♂️
It actually wasn't an official Range Rover dealership, it was a used car dealership and I've moved a couple of cars that I felt were a bit sketchy from them so I wasn't really surprised, this was the final straw so I refuse to deliver for them now
Chicken nuggets and sandwiches …..Wowwww they left you breakfast 🤣👍
Is this Canada??
