I very much dislike the new plastic bottles. The glass jars were so much better. Everytime I spray lacquers I always have some left over in my cup, and I always pour it back into the bottle. This is now practically impossible with the dropper bottle. Also the labels on the plastic bottles cannot withstand lacquer thinner. The old bottles had labels that were stout and could not be destroyed. Also the printed portion of the label that shows the name and numbe of the paint... this can be wiped off with a dry tissue and with very little pressure! The lettering can be removed with VERY little effort. What is with that? Your Extreme Metals and your pigments and weathering products have the same problem. The ink is very weak and can be wiped completely off the label, leaving the hobbyist with a "mystery jar" of unlabeled product.

Also you used to be able to see the color and number of the paint when looking down on the cap. Now it's just a plain black lid with no identifier. All of the bottles look identical now. Just a black plastic cap with the RC lettering. I much preferred the old jars that had the label and color the top of the lid. It made it super easy to find a paint bottle when stored in a box or simply sitting on my workbench amongst the other RC colors that I'm using at the time.

Tamiya and Mr Color has been supplying lacquer-based paints to the hobby for decades now, and they continue to use glass jars. I don't know why you guys couldnt do the same? I heard stories that the bottles had problems with leakage. And I did notice that the lids often didnt screw on straight. Well, why not just redesign the glass jar then? I just think that the glass jars are more appropriate for lacquers. And who knows, are your new plastic bottles going to have the same longevity as glass? I wouldn't be surprised to find out that your RC lacquers are going to dry out in these new plastic bottles.

I bought 50 of new paints when they come to market here in Czechia. Have 10 and more droppers broken (bent, crack etc..) making paint spill into cup :( I got the replacement droppers but it’s rly annoying. Is issue fixed?

Thanks for the video! White glue is also helpful with clear parts’ gluing. Plastic cement can leave marks or even thin the plastic, but the white glue can’t. Also thick acrylic varnish can be used.

Hello, in general it should not affect the model if you use the product as recommended. We can't say for sure if you apply it on figures printed for example on home 3D printers, with materials that we don't know exactly how durable they are.

The real colour paints are lacquers and the 3GEN paints are acrylic paints. Each one has different qualities and different ways of application. The most important difference is the thinner: the lacquers use thinner and are not compatible with water, the acrylics the other way round. We hope we have helped you.

“About your question, yes, there is a reason to mix the 2 chipping fluids. As you know AK088 produces small chippings and using AK089 you’ll get a bigger effect than with previous one. If you mix both in +/- 50% ratio, you’ll can get an intermediate effect between them. I usually mix by eye. This method allows me to test and check different results and effects. I hope I’ve helped.
