This channel is where I share my journey in the best hobby known to man! Flying these planes is an absolute passion of mine, and if by sharing my journey in this hobby gets at least one person Flying, I have done my part in helping build the rc plane community.

That runs nice with 2 blade prop.Is it 3 or 4 cell?On landing approach apply right rudder and left aleron. She will slow down.
@richardetschman9449 It's a 2 blade prop and it runs on a 4 cell.
When did you buy yours? Unless it’s tucked under the battery tray mine doesn’t have it lmao
Hi,, I have the same jet. After flying the Viper and modifying the T-33 to take an 4s 1800 I bought the F86 Saber. The T-33 on 4s is awesome, on 3s you have a fight to keep it in the air. I had to repair the F86 Saber horizontal stabilizer and rudder but not because of a crash. I wrecked it when setting up throttle cut.. I was in my basement, setting up throttle cut. and it flew out of my grasp into some shelving. I fixed the cracked stabilizer control surface and rudder.. same type of damage you mentions, the rudder flopped over from the base of it. It looks straight but I was thinking about replacing the rudder and stabilizer before the maiden. Does the replacement parts come with servos mounted and ready to go ?
The replacement part won't have the servo. You have to take it off the old part and put it on the new part. It will come with the decals for it, however.
@@RaGeRC ok. thanks!
The repair I made.was spot on. The maiden went fine. Flying this jet is a blast. kzread.info/dash/bejne/hJZ72ZuoqaWfccY.htmlsi=W_yDiLqT_sBo7CGi
Looking for your trim switch? NO WAY! Its the thing i HATE most about Spektrum NX radios. I have really big hands and I can never find the damn trim switch because they moved it up and to the left of where they always used to be on older radios. That, the color screens, and way over priced recievers are enough for me to switch to Frsky.
Yeah the trim switches are definitely different. Before I used to just reach over with my thumb now I find myself taking my hand off the throttle stick and reach over to feel for the damm trim switch! 😂😂
Use about 5-10 clicks of down mixed in with your landing flap to get rid of that floating on landing. It feels a lot more natural to carry it in with a little of up instead of having to force the nose down. 😎
What shape was the battery in????
It was completely dead. Can't event charge it back up so it's a gonner. It ashame because it was one of my SMC 4400 lihv packs. That battery alone was $80!
Did you struggle to get it to balance at CG position - especially with that battery. Im struggling with mine.ĵ
Not really. I've ran a single 5200 4s, I've done a single 3600 and also ran 2 2200s before. I just balance it right where that plastic covering that covers the wires going out to the nacelles and she does just fine.
👌
Pretty cool 😊 thanks for sharing your experience.
Absolutely greased that landing, a lot of people can’t fly this thing to save their lives (software issues not pilots)
Rage fantastic flying. When it gets hot put it in the hauler for a day and most of the wrinkles will straighten out. Zoom zoom zoom Jeff in LA USA
Man I just put a plane in a tree today lmfao the struggle bus is real. That hawk looks good for a month in the elements
It happens man! This ain't the first time I put one in a tree and it probably won't be that last! Haha. Hope you get yours back with similar results.
Looks good but not reliable needs v2
You think if i shoved the battery far back and took off with no gyro it would have better luck rotating? Ill prob do the front gear mod on mine before i even try. As well as install the new rear cones
I have my battery as far back as it goes and It didn't really help until I did the gear mod. But I fly off not the best grass. If ur flying of pavement or really manicured grass it isn't as hard to get it to rotate.
Putting the servos on rudders is awesome. I've got to do the same thing. I'm late finding the T7. What's the biggest battery are you comfortable using? I'm hopeful it'll fly with the 3200. What do you think? Loving your Channel brother thank you!
I honestly wouldn't go higher than like a 2600. I think the 3200 is a bit too heavy. It'll fly but it may be sluggish with that extra weight.
@@RaGeRC gotcha. thank you!
How is the visibility in the air with that arctic camo scem?
It's honestly not that bad. It may not be the best in an overcast sky but what plane really is. In a blue sky It actually shows up pretty good.
If anyone is looking for a F-16. The Eflite 80mm f-16 is awesome. Gear it strong as hell and it handles great. Iv had a couple of buddies say they wish they bought the eflite.
Nice job . What flap setting you using with no balloon
I don't have any elevator compensation. It doesn't seem to balloon for me. On my NX10 my flaps are: POS 0: 36% POS 1: -45% POS 2: -100%
@@RaGeRC thank you
Did you buy it new? I don’t have a yellow wire.
I did buy it new. Unfortunately not everyone came with it, it seems.
Nice flight mr. Love that plane😊
Miles and miles away the whole time.
First thing I do with my brand new airplanes or jets, I remove the gear doors. Unless your runway is asphalt or concrete, then you can’t keep them.
I have had to wait on the spar showing up but man am I looking forward to this one! Good video and glad I found channel! Will keep watching!
Thanks, man I appreciate you! I will honestly say that in my hangar this is my favorite plane of them all. The scale features and the flight characteristics a d how she looks and sounds in the sky! I'm in love with it!
Landing went fine!! Just move the battery forward a lil more or lower the throw. I have been looking at one of these. I fly from paved so no issues for me but I am sure that people appreciate the grass ops!
Yeah this one has tested my piloting skills on landing! I have the bigger Fms twin 70mm a d I honestly think that lands better than this one. Maybe because this one is so much lighter and you have to fly it all the down more so than depending of the weight and sink rate like the bigger one that makes it a little more challenging but she definitely does take some getting used too. Also the main landing gear isn't very well reinforced. The gear themselves are good but I've had them rip right out of the foam on a hard landing.
Cross your trims so they are on the opposite side, makes it easier to trim. Awesome video!
Hmmm. Never thought of that. Might have to give it a try. Thanks!
You mentioned you used an AR8020. If this is actually an AR8020T you actually have a 9 channel receiver. That Bind/Prog/Srxl2 is a ninth channel and will show up Aux4. That “Prog” is the key. If you need it.
I actually didn't know that. I'll have to check it out. If so that's awesome! Thanks for the info!
@@RaGeRC actually let me correct myself. On SAFE receivers you can use the Bind/Prog/Srxl2 as the FMode channel to select off/as3x/safe. It doesn’t support plugging in a servo. So 8.5 channels..😜

Good job!! It is nice to see a review from someone who isn't just a fan boy saying what they think Motion wants to hear! From what I can tell you may have just a tad too much up elevator throw though because on those take offs you can see the plane try to stall before you let go. But I appreciate you sharing your throws and being able to see the plane fly! I maiden mine this weekend!
Thank you sir! 🫡🫡 and yeah I was definitely rotating too early and pulling a little to hard on the elevator. On that second take off it definitely dropped a wing dramatically! Also the strong cross wind I had that day wasn't helping much either.
Its a sexy bird and I have done a few videos Ive done a very extensive build video on it and Im looking fwd to getting it out myself when the weather is good here in the northeast. This bs I have found from some ppl is there isnt any diff with the push rods they are the same size on each end of the rod with the ball joint.. This is a bullshit fallacy bc the push rods push in tight and no diff on each end so I have no I idea what these idiots are talking about. Great flight nice job you are a excellent rc pilot👍👍👍👍👍
She definitely is a sexy bird!!
Nice jet and flying, but as far as the video… I had to put on reading glasses and a magnifying glass to see the jet most of the time. Bring’er in closer for the video.
Great Maiden Man😊, I could literally hear/feel your adrenalin. Oh that feeling in your finger tips, all of us rc flyers can relate , maidens are almost always nerve wracking.
Yupp! Especially when it's a beauty like this one!
Great flying brother !!! You got a new jet man that fly’s Awesome !!! 👍🏻✌🏻🖖🏻
Is my habu still up in the tree?? 😂 haven’t been out in awhile hope to get out again here soon with nicer weather coming
I haven't seen it. Thought you may have gotten it. I'll look next time I'm out there.
Where did you place your RX wires? I saw a glimpse of it, but didn't get a good look.
One towards the nose and the other across to the other side
Such a nice plane! It’s really fun! Puts a smile on your face for sure! Thanks for posting ! The lighter 4400 packs really let this plane fly great.
Yeah I have to get another one of those batteries. My last SMC 4400 unfortunately spent a month in a plane I put in a tree lol. Needless to say, that battery is no good now
Good to see you had better luck than we did. I am probably going to build the back up model this weekend. Hopefully, I don't have a repeat of the issues with the first one.
Unfortunately you're not the only one. I've seen so many horror stories with this plane. It's hard to tell if they were bad setups or pilot fault or just genuine technical issues. It's sad because it really is an awesome flying plane when everything is working properly. I hate seeing this beautiful plane as a wreck on the ground. I hope you have better luck with your new one! 🫡🫡
@@RaGeRC thanks!
Finally a grass field operation. Thanks for showing us what it can do on grass, where 95% of the people will fly on.
I'm your channel for Grass ops! This is our flying field where I do all my videos.
Nose up fly it in on power holding the elevator. Thats how to properly land a edf. Way more control over the plane
More reliable than the real thing!
Silky smooth landing Rage🤙🏽congratulations on a safe maiden! I flew mine today for first time 10mph winds 😱 it’s so fast and maneuverable! Reminds me of the eflite twin64 A-10 warthog but with way more cool 😎 factor
Thanks! Yeah it was blowing up to 15 when I did my Maiden. I was a nervous wreck! 😂😂 I just didn't want to crash such a beauty ya know!
Hey i have the exact same one
👍
Good job on the second landing using the throttle .good to have that flair.
I have never had an issue with the admiral gyro receiver. The gyro works well and never lose a signal. Probably your one is a bad batch. It pays off to do initial range check on a new model eventhough your receiver is an old one. It looks like your admiral receiver can use satelite too, I would definitely use it for a signal loss redundancy and piece of mind.
The wind ? Why aren’t the trees moving ? Pretty plane !
He said its windy.. Not Hurricane force.
I enjoyed your film, Interesting to me listening to you talk about the vector gyro system. I pulled mine out because I felt that was the issue I had crashing my Viper! On more than one occasion! Late response and a mind of its own! Come to think about it, It reminds me of that movie Terminator! My plane got Terminated! Well almost! Cut the chip out!..... and get to the chopper!
check all the ball links that are put on the wrong way and will pop off, and servo pocket glue at least on one flap on mine
Grass take off and landing is a plus. Great job flying.
Thank you sir 🫡🫡
I have the exact same plane and want to set mine up with flaperon also with a DX8 ,do you have a tutorial on how to do that. do you think a smc 3600 S6 is to heavy . 478 G ?
I've flown it with the smc 3600. It does just fine with that battery. I don't have a tutorial on how to do the Flapperons, but I can help you as much as I can in these comments. It's really not that difficult to do. Just ask whatever you need, and I'll be happy to help.
@@RaGeRC So per the position you show with your lipo the lipo needs to go further forward . a half inch still , ?
@@vrosi1963 at about 14:20 in the video is where I like me battery placement.
Nice landing!
