Why didn't Triumph/ BSA develop a road version, lighter and even better handling? Once again, an unforgivable lack of imagination by a company resting on its laurels. Such a triple would have knocked the spots off a Jap competition making the most of its good fortune.

My bike was just like this one only I road it on the street. I had a lot of people that wanted to by it. My answer was no. I road it all over California a lot on the coast. I would get up in the morning To make it across the valley. Before it got temps. We’re in the upper nineties to one hundred. Plus. At times. And I would come home at night. My bike and I. We’re never apart for very long. Lemay Nelson Vancouver Washington. Pacific coast.

Yes indeed it is sad, and it is likely this bike will never be seen on the track again because of the noise. We also have a manx norton that we restored so it could be ridden again but unfortunately is now silenced down to 100 decibels. Such a shame that that's what you have to do now id rather hear it bark!! 👍

When Doug Hele first launched the Daytona winning bikes, 90bhp was the headlines on the front page of Motor Cycle News, I recall quite clearly. Whatever the figure was, it was enough back then. Road machines supposed punched out 60bhp. Again, powerful enough for bikes a full hundred weight less than the bikes with the full kitchen sink added on.

What gearbox are you using? I think I counted 6 gears and also looks like you have a left hand shift, which is not normal for the T150.

That's brilliant hp. Can you share engine specs please? And rpm? I've dynoed my BSA twin once and it was 14.8-1 the richest it got :( which would have taken the shine off it. I had no alternative main jets, so it was a bit pointless messing with the ignition timing. That triple sounds really good.

Hiya, sorry i didn't get back to you before, never got the notification for your comment Unfortunately I dont have the dyno sheets so i can't tell you exactly but it reached max HP at around 8100rpm, give or take, its a standard 750cc (hoping to bore to 780!) With Keihin carburetors, usually ran on avgas or classic race fuel, though if i remember correctly it performed a tiny fraction better with avgas

Hello, im sorry for the late reply you could well have it fixed by now 😂😂 To be totally honest i have no idea how you'd fix that, I'm guessing that they have a cable that runs to the the rear axle for it, could try unbolting it? Would just get it moved for now. As i say, i really can't help unfortunately

I drove two of these back in the 70's, one had a Perkins engine the other a Mercedes. The Mercedes powered version wouldn't pull itself in top gear along a level road in a head wind when empty and was really hard work to drive when loaded. The Perkins powered one was a good truck and pulled very well even fully loaded.
