My hot take Is that I hate black ops cold war, not because it's a bad game, (I actually think it's decent, and will still play it), but it's because it's the reason why black ops 4 got alot of its content cut. From blackout (which I was actually playing the most during the life cycle of bo4) to zombies (what I've been playing a lot more of lately). If black ops cold war never existed or wasn't forced to be taken over by treyarch, black ops 4 would have been a much better game in the long term, as because of that, I hold a grudge against cold war.

I want to explain why many players are skeptical of the gobblegums. The whole mentality of "If you don't like them, don't use them" only works when playing solo. The second I enter a co op lobby, all bets are off. I can't stop little Timmy from spamming a bunch of overpowered Gobblegums and breaking the game for everyone. On top of that, rage quitting in BO3 was a lot more common than in any of the other games since dashboarding directly incentivized people to rage quit unlike the other games. The presence of mega Gobblegums makes the co op experience objectively worse. However, I do think they can fix it by having one set of playlists for those who want to get the intended experience and another set where people can break the game to their heart's content.

Gobblegums suck because sure you can choose to not use them, but good luck convincing randoms to not use them. which means there may as well be no public lobbies for the people that actually want a challenge. maybe if they have a game mode selection of classic vs mega gums, but i also dont like the idea of splitting up matchmaking for slower load times.

Makes no sense that people always mention how BO3 had one complex map and one basic map, as if BO4 didn't have three simple maps at launch. Even BotD isn't complicated to set up on.

If anything, my hot take is that Gobblegums did ruin casual co-op games. If I’m trying to not use gums or use weak gums but the random sun my lobby are running reign drops or whatever else, they can just spam that and by round three I’ve got perks and a bunch of points, kinda defeating the point of me running more casual gums.

This isn’t a hot take, but I want co-op online zombies to feel good again. With Cold War, co-op wasn’t fun and didn’t really work in my opinion. I feel like with the points system and having to pick up salvage for armor and gun upgrades, four people fighting for those points and salvage made it difficult to level yourself up when the zombies hit harder as the rounds go. It was just better to play solo

What I liked about the cod maps was how bright some of the multiplayer maps , the visuals look dull like the modern warfare ones . I feel it’s not different enough cause they don’t want to mess with warzone too much . Warzone ruin cod for me cause they build the cods around it and so the games since then have been bad imo

The amount of great QoL stuff that was added during CW life cycle and how often Kevin Drew communicates with people in Twitter really shows how much he is passionate about the mode and his willingness for feedback. Cold war was a pandemic and for what it’s worth I enjoyed it.but I truly believe BO6 will be a great return to zombies. If it somehow sucks,then yeah im done with cod lol.

The reason why I dislike gobblegums is because in public matches let's say if you want to play without perks or something you can't because of on the house or raining drops and plus it's so frustrating to see people dashboard as soon as they go down.

The reason why I'm going to dislike or even Hate Black Ops 6 zombies is because it has Omni movement in it which will be way too easy to play zombies. And a second thing I'm a hardcore zombies player I go for a first rooms World Records no powers stuff like that. And plus if it's anything like Cold War I will not be playing it

I had such a big issue moving past bo4 into new era cod. I hated cold war in every way possible at launch and then move past my blindness to actually see what was given to me. And i started to really love it. It's nowhere near as good as before but it was still fun for the most part. I really digged the dark aether storyline with the forsaken, but it wasn't told in a great way. I also really loved vanguard's lore for what that's worth. I have yet to look up MW3 lore as i havn't played it and i'm frankly not interested in it. I think BO6 shapes up to be really special among new cod. I have this feeling the MP will the best yet of the modern cods and i have this strong feeling it WILL be better than Cold War. I always follow my guts and it always works out for me. I feel it.

I at first was worried about bo6 but after the direct i am excited for it especially how a lot is going back to BO3 zombies especially i think bo3 is the best zombies we have gotten and plus just got my first round 100 on bo3. I am not caring for outbreak coming back at all. i find outbreaking boring unless im playing with my dad

I personally think that the next game should absolutely get a new engine, because on top of feeling the same, the mw engine is shit so at least have 1 engine per studio so that treyarch can really make the best zombies experience. I mean as much as people hate bo4, its my favourite engine with how it looks and feels, its just a shame there are no mod tools.

Its a MASTERY CAMO grind. Not a MASTERY LEVEL grind which every game feels like. Challenges are SUPER easy and take 0 effort. Bur u gotta grind weapon xp for hours which is boring

The buried stuff isn’t useless, you can have a lot of fun and get to really high rounds if you use the glitches well. That map is so damn broken that it actually makes it more enjoyable.

Never understood the gobble gum hate. If you really don't like them, just don't use them. I don't care for them myself and still have a great time. They are o p t i o n a l. And if you prefer playing with others, just don't play with randoms and find a group of people that also don't like using them and game with them.

I don't think BO6 needs Who's Who back, as CW's Tombstone is essentially that perks' spiritual successor with one of its upgrade tiers. I do, however, think Who's Who could be completely overhauled to be something else. What that may be, I couldn't tell ya
