No offense to Capt Shane. Y'all might've heard the notorious rule about fishing: "do not talk loud near the water, you'll scare the fish" well.... just the opposite - his continous narration is all it takes to attract the stealth biters😅 With that said 1:47 gator just right under his hands🤭

Over 35 years ago, I fished that canal and L-28 with my 13 ft Boston Whaler. Many downed trees back then made it a difficult ride but the bass out there were worth it.

I've lived/fished SW Fl since 99'. Gators love topwater lures and bobbers. These have been fed fish. Not after the fisherman, but his fish.

I have personally been on Shane's, Big O Boat now a total of 3 times fishing with him and I can tell you that it is an absolute pleasure to fish on it. Pleanty of room on the bow to put 2 fishermen comfortably and I would even go as far as 3 people can fish on the bow of his boat. The engine he has hanging off his transom is nothing short of amazing and has pleanty of power to get that boat of his movin and get you to the fishing grounds qickly and when I say quickly, I mean like 72 MPH fast. (I know this from experiencing it) He has that boat set up to be a true workhorse of a fishing boat and he definitly is proud to be the owner of such a wonderful piece of maritime machinery there! I myself own a boat like Shane's where I have modeled some of his features on his boat onto mine. The only difference is my boat is a flats boat with a platform over the same brand of engine, and my consol is in the center plus he has what is called a hot foot throttle where my boat has the conventional throttle. NOW...Even though I own my own boat using my own fishing equipment, I will still book Shane and his Big O Boat to put me on the fish just to fish with him because I can always learn new things from him to be a better fisherman.

Hi Captain! Your vids are awesome, esp Underwater vids. I edit for @FatherFish on YT. He's an advocate for natural aquariums that self sustain and create an ecosystem within itself. He's shot a video on cichlids and plants. In looking for clips, I've come across your channel that has lovely underwater footage of Cichlids in natural habitat. Would it be okay, if I used some of your clips in his video? We will place an onscreen credit of your channel name and a link to your videos in the description.

My goodness‼️ I grew up in South Florida, fishing and swimming in the rivers, and since moved to Georgia. Back then, we would see a gator or two every now and then. They were on the endangered list back then, but man, that is craaazy right there‼️ We would swim in the Loxahatchee river, knowing they might be around, but they weren't or didn't seem aggressive like this, and this video is now 11 years ago, can now understand why so many reports of attacks now‼️ Thanks for sharing Capt Shane

They're hungry too. They wanted that fish. Teasing the gators, it's all fun until someone loses a leg , mistaken for a fish. Careful now ! 😊

That gator was trying to get your fish. hahaha. Also the title refers to the gater out of the water to the left of the bridge. It's hard to see but pause at around 1:54 or 1:55 You can see a gator out of the water to the left of the bridge. Its mouth and teeth are lit by the sun. Look at the top and middle part of the screen.
