  Yes! Defusing just speeds up the drying process but air drying will give the same results :)

  1. Shampoo 2. Shampoo again 3. Condition and detangle 4. Let conditioner sit for 5-10 minutes 5. Rinse 6. Part down the middle 7. Leave in conditoner and hair oil 8. Gel 9. Brush through 10. Shake to form curl clumps 11. Wide tooth comb for definition 12. Scrunch 13. Air dry until crunchy 14. Diffuse 15. Scrunch out crunch with hair oil

  This is my favourite thing about the curly hair community! The original curly girl method isn't a one size fits all and so many curly and wavy hair people share their routines and what works for their hair. It just helps knowing that when the normal method doesn't work, it's not because we're doing it wrong, it's because our hair has different needs.   Use your fingers to detangle and just let it air dry all the way, scrunch out the gel with a little oil when it’s dry. you can try scrunching while it’s still drying but if the gel is still tacky you might end up setting frizz into your hair. the diffuser adds volume and definition but it isn’t necessary
