The "blunder" at the stone mill had absolutely zero negative consequences. The only thing it did was let the Mountain escape, that man is of absolutely no consequence in a large scale war fought with tens of thousands of soldiers, and Robb only wanted to get him for personal reasons. Just another case of Robb being a hypocrite, like when he did not punish his mother for treason, yet executed Karstark for treason, despite his mothers act being several magnitutes more severe, not to mention how he casually gives away Harrenhall. Robb is rightfully remembered as a terrible king by the northern houses.

I love how her roasting him shows she still better than Lannisters - she's been looking for drunken rebel yet she still sees tyrion as harmless book keeper. Compared to what Tywin or Cersei says that's an actual commitment and more truthful than their paranoias over Tyrion 😅

Edmure is actually the totally most reasonable one here: - He defeated The Mountain in battle, but Robb was PO'ed that he didn't follow a secret plan he hadn't told him about. - Robb then chastises him for not agreeing to marry a woman to forge an alliance...despite himself breaking his oath and marrying who he wanted instead of honouring an alliance. - The Blackfish threatens to beat Edmure up for not going through with the marriage, meanwhile his nephew Robb not only broke a marriage in the same alliance but is willing to sell the Blackfish' own lands (Harenhal) to make up for it. - Catelyn even gets her shots in, while she actually started the war with rash action (kidnapping Tyrion) AND let their most valuable prisoner go (Jaimie). Everyone is an idiot EXCEPT Edmure, yet we're supposed to laugh at the guy. Even when we're first introduced to him we're supposed to laugh at him for not being able to make an incredibly difficult archery shot, and then at the end of the show we're supposed to laugh at him when Sansa is like "Sit down and shut up uncle". Poor bloke just can't catch a break.

The casting of Olenna was brilliant. Other than her tremendous performance. Margaery Tyrell actress Natalie Dormer looks exactly like Diana Rigg in her prime. Perfect to play Grandmother and Granddaughter.

I get people saying marrying a prettier wife is what he did and it was but he didn’t just do that. He married talisa because he loved her. And it was going to work out if they weren’t all killed, because edmure seemed to like his new wife.

I didn't really follow the show but I love these scenes. Showing how a kingdom is actually run, the council meetings etc When you get to see how things are run and the logistics in any show, I find it interesting.

I think if she had refused to pay half. Tryrion would have said that she would not be allowed to plan the wedding and Olenna would have had a hard time getting rid of Joffrey. So before Tyrion could make the argument and before he could stand against her in any way she proposes half and half just after humilliating him

I'm not very familiar with GOT. From the few times I've seen it, it seems the dwarf (dont know his name) is a good guy. And the pretty lady who is the mother of the dragons started out good and then became a bad guy. Am I way off base?.

Robb was the best tactician in the war, never lost a single battle, yet his naivete and hypocrisy got half the North killed. First he broke his oath with House Frey, then against absolutely everyone's good advice, he upheld his (selectively) precious code and killed one of his primary bannermen, losing the whole Karstark contingent. He dragged Edmure into buying forgiveness for his sins, all the while guilting him for the stone mill business for, uh, not being able to read his fucking mind? And he sent Theon Greyjoy, very much the worst possible negotiator, alone to Pyke to try to buy his father's fleet, despite Ironborn culture very, _very_ clearly not working like that. Catelyn, for all her own impulsive decision-making and her own catastrophic mistakes, at least had the wisdom to recognize how utterly stupid that plan was. Robb never lost a battle, but managed to self-immolate at nearly every other moment. And his hypocrisy was truly incredible.
